New Warriors would be great, though I'd prefer it if they had a animated series along the lines of Young Justice.
Why aren't you reading Winter Soldier? You should be!

Up until I logged onto this page, I'd never heard of Big Hero 6.

Funny how Disney have chosen something rather obscure to develop.

I think it's great that it's a lesser-known property getting the attention. It doesn't always have to be the big guns of the Marvel U.

It's certainly an interesting choice. With a bit of craft it could end up as Marvel's Teen Titans!

Spare me...Big Hero Six don't even qualify as "pop guns". They hardly qualify as a property at all...Disney might as well be making a film about Blue Shield or some 2-issue 40s character.

There are far more worthy properties, as others have noted.

It's not about "worthiness", it's about which property the folks at Disney feel they can make a good movie out of. There have been plenty of other obscure comic book properties that have led to successful movies. Men in Black, for instance. Complaining about which property is more "worthy" just sounds kind of petty. Me, I'm intrigued. I want to see what they come up with.

According to whom? Like I said, the vast majority of Marvel's library consists of characters who most people aren't likely to be familiar with to begin. As with the "Why aren't they doing the New Warriors instead?!" complaint from earlier in the thread, if you're trying to talk about some sort of issue of prominence, they might as well do something obscure if they want to.

Quoted for the truth. Blade was another obscure comic book property that led to 2 successful movies and one crappy 3rd movie.

Well, it's a good thing the Disney development people don't possess your clearly limited foresight.

Apparently it's Disney's foresight that is limited, if they think a bunch of Anime refugees that no one has heard about like BH6 is going to appeal to anyone outside the otaku fanboys.

There are, as I and others have stated, far more recognizable and worthy characters who would make far superior films than BH6. There is no need to reach into the "Z-" list for filmable properties.

I think your foresight is limited if you automatically assume those are the only people that would watch such a movie.

Various lesser-known comic properties have done quite well as movies. Aside from Blade, the most notable I think is Men In Black.
