WHAAAAAT?!! Not that bad of a guy? Just trying to toughen him up??? He wants to be the next Kingpin, and picks a fight with a known killer and throws his nephew to him while he robs the other bad guys.....c'mon there is no good character building here.
If we aren't going to do the things we say.....then why say them?

He's a bad guy, he reached the point of no return when he killed Tinkerer and that was before he even started blackmailing Miles

    IMO
Armed robbery - Fourth worst thing we've seen Uncle Aaron do.
Treachery - Third worst thing we've seen him do.
Murder - Second worst thing we've seen him do.
Child abuse - The very worst thing we've seen him do.

He's a murderer and a thief who is manipulating and threatening a kid, his own nephew. He doesn't care about Miles, obviously. Whenever Miles doesn't do what he says, he threatens him, attacks him or starts insulting him. There are people like this in real life, who think they're some badass and the man or whatever, but are spineless enough to hurt kids to get what they want. He's a manipulator and a predator. And generally, just a cocky d-bag.

It's a brilliantly written character to make him hate him so much. It's probably because he's so realistic to me.

I agree 100%/ This is why he has that extra ass-hole factor to one-up Norman.

Ditto, he is a great villain because Uncle Aaron has hit all those points we need to hate him and there's nothing there to make us say "oh well maybe he's misunderstood" or even think about rooting for him.

I actually when seeing him wonder just what dastardly deed will he do next

Totally agree. To have good villains, they have to either be so evil/mean/awful that you can't stand them and feel actual hate for them, or morally ambiguous/grey area/relate-able/misunderstood. And we all know where Aaron falls on that spectrum

I disagree man. Uncle Aaron is the "user" . Every family has one of them (or in my familys case 3). Everything is a manipulation with him. He only values what Miles can do for him. Once Miles firmly establishes he will never be his stooge, expect things to get real ugly.

Totally. I like sympathetic villains, too, but man, Aaron is not.

Sympathetic villains are good but when Uncle Aaron blasted Tinkerer in the face in cold blood I was like WHOA

Honestly, for me, it's waaaaay too late for that now. The guy is a dirtbag of the highest order. Any attempt to try and make him sympathetic at this point is going to just come off as insincere.

i totally agree that uncle aaron is a class A abuser, but if bendis decided to write him having a good side i wouldn't think its out of the blue, for example one of the reasons people think aaron is at the point of no return in possibly being good is that he murdered tinkerer, but i vaguely remember the following panel aaron made a face like he didn't want to do it, i wouldn't be suprised if thats the first time he killed a person because from what we have seen and what miles dad told us he has only had a history of petty crimes and i also think he murdered him for the sake of miles, he could have picked a non murdery method, butt i think his heart was in the right place, all i'm saying is that aaron hasn't really proven himself to be truly "EVIL", dirtbag yes
