    Default Phoenix Five: Summer(s) Edition!?

Hi everyone. I am new and one of the aweful Jean Grey fanboys. ;))

I have to confess that I really start to enjoy AvX with the latest developments...The Phoenix Five are an amazing and entertaining idea and should stay for longer than issue 12. Do you guys agree? But I think they should change up the Phoenix hosts ASAP and use the Summers family as the new hosts to increate the Phoenix into Jean Grey's myths and in the general continuity of the Marvel universe. It would make a lot more sense if Rachel, Nate Grey, Cable, Cyclops and Hope became the new Phoenix gang and change up the status quo of the Marvel Universe for some years. The general concept and the costumes are just too amazing to lose this idea! I generally love when a universe is changed up (but I still can't believe they ruined the fundament of the X-Men universe, when M-Day happened. What made the X-Men most exciting for me was the fact that mutants actually became a new species that fights for acceptance in society...It was a great parable for so much. well, now they are Inhumans part II and fighting for survival...horrible change up and I still cannot understand why they seem to keep this change? It was fine for some years but now we need to go back to the fundament of the X-Men idea. I hate classical super heroes stories and the X-Men have been so much more.....)

However, I think Marvel needs to connect Phoenix to Jean Grey again and bringing her genetic offsprings into the mix is the best way to do it!

Phoenix stories without Jean is quite pointless in my eyes...but maybe we should understand the Phoenix Force as a transcendental Jean Grey who became completely Phoenix and lost humanity completly? Haven't Emma Frost ask Jean in some Morrison comic if she is still able to be human at all? Or at least that will be my explanation to make the momentary story part of Morrison's X-Men continuity! (and I am still crying every night that he is not coming back to the X-Men and bring us some adult and intellectual fun that is more than Superhero A fights Superhero B...)

She sings directly to the sheep, "Oh noble sheep, we eat your babies. We use your brain to fight off rabies, but the most beautiful gift you give us is wool."

Also, I don't agree that the P5 should stick around any longer than necessary, too much power and a sure way to kill any further development of all 5 of those characters. Hope is the perfect host, not a lot of back-story there and still plenty of places to go. Obviously, I wish Jean would come back, but I don't want her to have the PF ever again. It's a sure death warrant for her....

Come on, it's less hate and fear, more pointing and giggling.

Don't blame us - blame the "fans" who post endless ridiculous questions / accusations on Brevoort's Formspring before he loses his patience and chases you off his lawn.

I do NO SUCH THING! But no, really, I don't. I'm a fan obviously, but I've never had a raging Jean Boner that won't subside until someone bitch slaps me for my love of a character! So, I "don't know what you're talking about"

Oh no, I will stay in the center and will not be banned to the periphery (= Jean Grey aprraciation thread).

Cable, Nate Grey, Hope, Cyclops and Rachel = The true Phoenix Five!!!!!

this would have make so much sense, I still can't believe marvel's writer didn't use my brillant concept and came up with this idea!

I always had a feeling that they were bringing Jean's "children" in before AvX for a reason. Nate, Rachel and Cable's comeback to the books were done pretty much one after the other in those months. But with Cable being placed into a coma, Nate not really being developed and Rachel recently passing the torch to Hope I think it's fair to say that if there ever was a plan for them together it got scrapped.

Cable is still in the game. I think it would be a nice conceptual frame for really powerful Omega X-Men: Phoenix Five! Where is the difference between a powerful Cable without a techno virus and cable as a phoenix host? same with nate grey. He will be back to his power level sooner or later and being a phoenix five just would make him iconic and a new powerful force in the marvel universe...I need a Summers family reunion and Jean Grey as the transcendental force living in all of them. Jean fans would have her Jean back and all Omega X-Men would join forces for a better world.

I wouldn't mind Hope keeping the Phoenix for a while, like Rachel did in the past. She could teach her some tricks, being the best host since Fongji, although I wouldn't mind a different version altogether, what with her being a Messiah. I like the concept of the P5 but they should go back to normal after AvX, it shouldn't last too long.

Nate Grey should die. Rachel and Cable are cool, though. And I expect big things from Nathan (not Nate) later on in this event. Should be awesome.
