I believe that, but he wants Hope because he knows the Avengers will find a way to use her to destroy him.

Yet people still defend his actions even though he is becoming increasingly creepy.

Maybe the Phoenix can adjust Beast's third mutation his bitchy tude, Matter fact it probably wouldn't waste its time.

This is the most humor filled book that marvel has out, and it's used to great affect. I read this on the bus on my way back home and sometimes I laugh to myself like a lunatic. Where was Namor when Rachel and Hope had their encounter? The biggest question I had after reading this is, what the hell did Angel do to Warmachine?

Well, couldn't you say that for all of the P5? Maybe not to the extent of Cyclops, since he's the HMFIC, but I suspect we'll see the other P5 members go more evil. Power corrupts. This is cliche, but true. Only Hope can "control" the Phoenix properly. She was the one meant for it afterall.

He's like that one uncle that use to "tickle" you as a kid, that you secretly hated because he smelled like cigarettes and failure, and was just one hair shy of inappropriate child rapist. Beast, by bitch.
    Good....no.....GREAT post.

Not me. I've been against Cyclops long before he bonded with the Phoenix. He's why I dropped Uncanny X-Men, I just really hate Scott Summers.

I loved the hell out of the art in this issue, and the flashbacks, that really told folks everything they need to know about Rachel in this. Really messed up for Cyke to ask her to use her Hound abilities, and give her the quasi-deity "Phoenix Loves You..." If the Phoenix loved her, it probably wouldn't have ditched her mid-battle against the Shi'ar during "X-Men: Kingbreaker".

Kid Gladiator continues to amuse the hell out of me, as well. It might be more so when Bachalo is drawing him.

Who need History? Try living in Albuquerque or watch "Tell them Willie Boy was here", it is still used by the same kind of folks that call blacks "boy"

Yeah I suspect the whole "Phoenix Loves You" line is probably the one which helped Rachel see through Cyclops' Messiah Complex. She was just fantastic in this. Right up there with the issue where she takes out Alpha Flight by herself.

Oh then it should be easy to provide a cite then if it's in common usage today.

There was once a group of Broccoli people that might disagree.

Maybe the Phoenix loved them in a creamy cheddar cheese sauce.
