    Default Suggested Thor reading order?

    Hi folks,

I dropped Thor a couple of years ago when Matt Fraction took over the title, mainly 'cause I needed to cut back on what I was buying, and it seemed like a good jumping off point since it was going in a different direction than what JMS and Gillen had been doing. I've always liked the more mythological Thor over the cosmicy-side of things, even though I love Beta Ray Bill.

Anyhow, I picked up The World Eaters, Fraction's first arc, on sale last week, and finished it yesterday. I've got (but haven't read), Fear Itself, the first two trades of The Mighty Thor, and every issue of Journey Into Mystery. I know Journey more or less follows it's own track, but what should I read next? Mighty Thor, vol 1, followed by Fear Itself, or vice versa? Or what?

All three series ran concurrently, but Journey Into Mystery (which definitely has the mythological side of things tied up) actually ties directly into Fear Itself (though can be read on its own), whereas The Mighty Thor kind of did its own thing for a bit. If you don't mind jumping back and forth between JIM and FI, that's probably the best way to read the story as JIM pretty much tells the behind the scenes story of the main FI plot.

The Mighty Thor 1-6 are set before FI.
    Fear Itself 1
    Journey Into Mystery 622 & 626.1
    Fear Itself 2
    Journey into Mystery 623
    Fear Itself 3
    Journey Into Mystery 624-625
    Fear Itself 4
    Journey Into Mystery 626
    Fear Itself 5
    Journey Into Mystery 627
    Fear Itself 6
    Journey Into Mystery 628
    Fear Itself 7
    Journey Into Mystery 629
    The Mighty Thor 7
    Journey Into Mystery 630
    Fear Itself 7.1, 7.2 (Thor's epilogue), 7.3

From there the rest of Mighty Thor and Journey Into Mystery can pretty much be read on their own.
    The Mighty Thor 8 onward
    Journey Into Mystery 631 onward

    Awesome. Thanks very much!

One more question... the Mighty Thor Annual that just came out, says it takes place before issue #1. Should I go ahead and read it now, or let it wait for "flashback" status if it spoils things in the series?

    Happy to help!

I actually haven't had a chance to pick it up yet, but I'd say wait just in case?

I'd say read it now. It's free-standing and doesn't spoil anything at all in MT #1 or beyond.
    Mostly moved on to fanfiction.net...
