I don't have any substance to back up the statement when I tell you that I think she really is VERY smart (unlike in JL where she's acting like Tackleberry with a sword instead of a gun). If she's not that smart now, I believe she certainly has the potential to learn, and very quickly.

Smart is not the same thing as knowledgable. I can have an IQ of 300 & still not be able to perform a triple heart bypass, something that someone with an average level of intelligence & a whole heap of training can do. Intelligence is not the same as knowledge: Kind of a pet peeve of mine.

Yes she was. In fact, she was accredited for inventing the Purple Healing Ray at a very young age. This Wonder Woman may not be that abled, but as I said to Gale, I think she has potential.

Pre crisis sure. But by the same definition Superboy is smarter, he created superboy robots so realistic that no one could tell they weren't really superboy. Pre-crisis has all sorts of crazyness.

As for who invented it post crisis, it was invented by the villain Baroness Paula von Gunther.

This. I love the sex pirates thing which makes them look like mystical women from myths and legends. I also like the fact that it means that there are young Amazons, which gives Diana friends to grow up with and makes the amazons society more dynamic and varied.

But we could have had our cake and eat it too if they just didnt kill the sailors afterwards.
