Well, it's usually enjoyable to see him in these forums.

I was thinking the other day, how the show "Adventure Time"-don't judge me!-and JIM are kinda similar. Kinda...And one way they're similar is that both creators seem to want to stay in touch with their fans. It's definitely one of the reasons I think both haven't been cancelled.

BTW, someone needs to make a JIM music video using "Best Friends in the World" from "Adventure Time".

    Ta-dah!
    Cool links, thank you.

And Mr. Gillen, I have a request as well. It's not too big a request, really, and the arc it would occur in is inconsequential. It could happen in any of your JiM storylines.

Could you have Thori take a vigorous bite into the scrotum of Volstagg The Voluminous? For some unexplainable reason, that would fulfill me to no end.

With that Sci-fi tinge in there, it'd have been an easier fit. As it is now, I suspect it's a bit off.

But I will get DH in wherever I can, certainly.
Splendid! Well thats all I can ask for - I wasn't really expecting DH in JIM I think the story is too far along for that but any oppertunity in other titles would be great. Also can you give any hints as to whats happening after the everything burns arc? I dont think Im alone in hoping that you will get to take over the Thor ongoing as you have a great handle on the characters, its just a shame you have to dance around others plots. The fine print is a great Thor story and I'd think you would make the title compelling reading again. Anyway Exiled was a great conculsion to the Disir story and I appreciate the Druid reference in the current JIM - that story really blew me away back in the day esp as Im from Ulster. Just incase you are back to this thread - any idea when you'll get the third volume of Phonogram out?

So going back over recent events, do you think that any of the otherworlders are going to play a part in the big war between the Aesir and the Vair? It would be nice to see that happen.

On a side note, was rereading fear it self and I was't sure if it was just me, or maybe it's a clue about Leah, but Hela states that Tyr is her right hand and Leah is her left hand. Given the resemblence to Hela herself, the name being a mix up of Hela, and now the fact that she's seen as the left hand of our Lovely hell mistress, could it literally be that Leah is some sort of weird aspect of Hela brought about by, quite litereally, using her severed hand?

I have a feeling this book will end soon. Gillen did remark that his story is finite with a planned end.

That's fine just don't make a Journey into Mystery #1 at any point in the future, it's all I ask, is that so bad?

That seems to be the prevailing theory, yes. That Leah is to Hela what Ikol is to Loki, though I don't think she's Hela's evil side as Ikol is to Loki.

With this "reboot" Marvel wants to do, I can't help but see the irony of JIM ending near when it will start.

Engels is very obviously a reference to Friedriche Engels, is it not? It seemed fitting that the socialist philosopher would be referenced in regards to what is obviously an uprising of the working class (the Manchester God) against the bourgeoisie and aristocracy (Captain Britain and his lot).

Very surprised the annotators missed that. I would have expected anyone educated outside of the US school systems to know that.

Annnnd, balls. They mentioned it in an edit.

I almost had the Manchester devils alongside the Engels. But resisted it, because whilst I found it funny it diluted the theme somewhat.

While you wear your Gaiman influence on your sleeve a bit in this book, I'm curious -- have you read much of Kirby's New Gods? Because I've felt there was a large amount of connective tissue between what Gaiman was doing in "Sandman" and "American Gods" to what Kirby was doing with "The New Gods/Fourth World".
