    Hi All

I totted up the totals so far (exlcuding cookepuss's 7 - as that's cheating ) and it looks as follows - there have been 23 responses so far:

Total is obvious. Percentage is percentage of posters who chose it. Daredevil and Journey into Mystery are the clear winners so far - so anybody who hasn't tried them should probably look into them. I know I will be looking into Journey into Mystery. The third line in red is just representing people (like me) who did not choose five titles.

The weighted sum is based on where people ranked their titles (so if they put it first the title got 1.5, second 1.25, third 1, fourth 0.75 or fifth 0.5). Whether it is better than mean just shows the difference between the Sum and Weighted Sum - a positive number means that people tended to mention it first. I know not everybody will have ranked in order of preference so this might be meaningless, but I thought it would be an interesting thing to add to see if there were any changes.

It does look a bit different - Winter Soldier and Amazing Spider-man have been chosen highly by not many people. That suggests to me that fewer people are reading these, but those that do like them a lot. However, as I said people have not necessarily ranked by reference, the sample size is small and I chose the weighting range as 1.5 - 0.5 - suggesting people like their first choice three times as much as their fifth choice which I doubt is the case.

    Edit:

Note 1. - The figures in green are the top five in that column.
Note 2. - Two people put Fantastic Four/FF which I entered as Fantastic Four and one chose FF/Fanatastic Four which I entered as FF

I will try and update if more people answer.

i could just feel this top 5 thread was better then the other one

awesome math skills there… the scarlet spider difference when weighted is very interesting. i hope we can get you a bigger sample

but i think your results are pretty accurate with what my theory and thinking was… there are 4 really good books at marvel right now. everything past that is taste

Haha, thanks. I do love excel. As long as nobody adds any more series I can just add a line everytime somebody new posts a list.

I have been working on an extra feature to show what other titles people get, which I nearly gave up on, but had an epiphany. So of people who get Winter Soldier, 75% get Daredevil - of people who get Daredevil, 33% get Winter Soldier. It is on my laptop though and I am not anymore so will post it tomorrow.

Edit: by the way I can easily add more series so if anybody wants to post new series please do. And everybody post your top fives!

OK, so the updated table with an extra six entries so far:

The top four titles are unchanged by Sum.

Quite a lot of the new entries specified no order so I decided the weighted sum placed too much emphasis on where they were placed. It now counts listing first as 1.2 instead of 1.5 down to 0.8 instead of 0.5 - so a title placed first is worth one and a half as much as a title placed fifth.

I also changed the highlighting to show the top three in a column rather than top five.

Still no entries for some ongoings I could think of, but I added them to the table for reference. Avengers Academy and Captain America shocked me that there were no entries (unless I have missed them of course). I thought Avengers Academy was a JIM type darling and Captain America still has Bru - a few years back his Cap would have probably been in the top two or three.

Incredible Hulk and Hulk are different titles right?

The extra four columns show the percentage of people who get a given title (column) who get another title (row). So looking at Cell U13 of the people who get Fantastic Four - 40% also rank Ultimate Comics: Ultimates, compared to 17% of people who rank Ultimates usually. This is not surprising as Hickman is the writer of both.

Another interesting one is the number of people who like JIM who also like Thunderbolts - 38% rather than 21%. They have different writers and concepts right?

Now Lopez is gone on another title I can't remember and it is sad. But I don't dislike Fernandez, he was a X-Factor artist for quite a long time.
