A good bit. I've never done the math but its usually around 35-40 a week. Would be more without the 20% discount for buying more than 50 titles that most stores give you. Also no one tell my wife

Its just an assumption given its low sales. It made Newsrama's list of likely cancellations and it has been rumored that DC had many more titles slated for cancellation that got a reprieve until closer to the trinity war. Again these are all rumors. Definitely nothing official. And I should say that I totally agree with you. I love this title and would be heart broken to see it go.

My top 8 I guess would be:
    Wonder Woman
    Batman
    Animal Man
    Swamp Thing
    I, Vampire
    Earth 2
    Aquaman
    Blue Beetle

Right now the first issues of the original launch are only 99¢ on Comixology, so it's not that expensive to sample the titles. The problem is, a lot of books don't hit their stride for a while.

These are the books I'm interested in:

    Batman
    Batman & Robin
    Earth 2
    World's Finest
    Flash
    Aquaman
    Nightwing
    Batwing
    All-Star Western
    New Guardians
    Animal Man
    Demon Knights
Superboy (do I need to read this to follow Teen Titans?)
    Teen Titans
    Justice League
    Red Hood
    Captain Atom
    Blue Beetle

I need to get this huge list down to 7-8 titles.

    Thanks for any feedback!
Animal Man for sure, but I wouldn't recommend getting A-Man without Swamp Thing. Thankfully, it's just as good if not better.

Otherwise from your list, I'd also go with: the Flash, Batman, Justice League, Demon Knights, Aquaman, and Batman and Robin.

If that was "a few months back", then it really won't give you any clue as to what the DCnU version of the book is like. I believe its tpb version only was released last month.
(Or did you mean to say you pre-ordered the new version a few months back?)

The line right now is so diverse, but I'll give it my best shot...

Runner Up:Aquaman- It's a good book, nothing special, though.

    8. Worlds' Finest
    7. The Flash
    6. Supergirl
    5. Batman
    4. Animal Man/Swamp Thing (these are a package deal, you really can't get one without the other)
    3. Birds of Prey
    2. Earth 2
    1. Demon Knights

No, it's a TPB of the New 52 title. Maybe it was a month ago.I'm 40, so time is an elusive creature :)

This pretty much nails it. I used to pick up nothing but DC and all the batman titles. Im disappointed in them right now so all i pick up are the titles listed above.. And also I, Vampire is AMAZING!!! You should check it out.

It's not officially cancelled, and they are adding Keith Giffen back on the creative team, so it's probably going to get back some of the original fans. Besides...

I'd definitely recommend Earth 2. It just started and, while the first issue is a bit disjointed from the second, the story is moving at a good pace and I have a feeling it's only going to keep getting better and better.

Aquaman is really good and perhaps my favorite of the new 52 besides Earth 2. Wonder Woman has surprised me with how much fun I've had reading it. I'm enjoying The Flash, as the story and art are pretty good, but I've been thinking about dropping it since the book doesn't seem to have one coherent direction.

I don't know much about the other titles, but I can say that Teen Titans has ultimately disappointed me. I think the writing style is geared towards tweens who may care more about big explosive action sequences than fun dialogue. The plot around issue 7 or 8 completely went off in some weird direction for a crossover, and I lost track of what was happening and, ultimately, any interest in continuing with the characters. It's really just a Superboy/Red Robin/Wonder Girl book anyway, and none of those characters have much a distinct voice in that book IMO.

I read a lot of the previews for the book, and what you described is what turned me off. So I didn't pick it up.

Here's a list of what I tried out, and what I think so far:

Aquaman: I was expecting it to be all humor and action. Was pleasantly surprised by how heartfelt it could be.

Batman and Robin: REALLY liked it. Mr. Nobody is scary, and I'm mad about the Russian Batman dying. Makes me want to read Batman Incorporated, but I hate Morrison's writing.

Batwing: REALLY liked it. Like the idea of him being a cop and the idea of Africa's own superhero team.

Blue Beetle: I like the IDEA of it, but it was OK. What happened to Tony Bedard?

Captain Atom: Cannot say how much I loved the artwork on this book. Best art I've seen in YEARS. I just stared at the pages, which is something I haven't done with a comic in a long while. I LOVE how Cap is done up differently from the rest of the world art-wise. Writing was OK.

Demon Knights: Loved it. I just hope they won't all be anti-heroes. Art is beautiful. Was a bit darker than I like though (baby scene).

    Flash: Haven't read yet.

Green Lantern: New Guardians: REALLY enjoyed it. This is the Tony Bedard I love. I'm a big Kyle Raynor fan.

    Nightwing: Haven't read yet.

Red Hood and the Outlaws: Haven't read yet.

    Swamp Thing: Haven't read yet.

Animal Man: I got the first trade, but it's a future Christmas present, so can't read it yet :(

World's Finest: Didn't care for it very much. This pretty much clinches I'm not a very big fan of Paul Levitz's writing. I was also pretty confused by their plan. Are they going back to their world, or saving Earth 1 from something? I was sure Karen wanted to go back to Earth 2, but this line confused me "I've already lost one world. I can't stand the thought of a second one being blown apart."

So far it will be hard to pick which books to stick with :(

    Update:

Read Flash #1 last night. Art was absolutely beautiful, but I felt the writing was pretty generic. Not sure if this one will make my list.

Anyone want to talk me off the ledge? :)
