I hate how they're writing Hope, both there and in New Avengers. She's not a scared little girl who didn't ask for any of this and so very insicure. Cable used to wake her up with a sneak attack, and now she goes wherever a stranger tells her to? That said, she should have been able to leave if she wanted to and Scott was too much of a jerk, I didn't like that at all.

Toad's no faculty. I forgot about Doop, he's still at the school, and Lockheed is too. Mimic I don't know, I don't remember him saying he'd leave in Legacy, but I don't pay attention to the fighting scenes so he may have been there anyway, just like the New Mutantas who popped up out of nowhere.

The writing was just.. weird/bad. I know the characterization has been horrendous in AVX..but..there was a LOT of stupidity in this issue.

Hank is a man of science; men of science are permitted to change their minds when new evidence appears that contradicts previous beliefs, without being labeled hypocrites. Only Religion and politics thrive by maintenance of the status quo. He'll be justified later on, anyway, when Scott loses it completely.

Wanda's link to chaos magic and the nexus on Earth was not retconned. Just her having the life force. When Scott touched her, the interaction between the chaos magic and the phoenix force caused him to be burned.
