I'm not sure I would have put it so bitterly, but I have to agree. Doom and Strange have a history in magic which is more or less ignored in this story. And the writing on Doom was sloppy. He flicks everyone away with a finger... until he doesn't... but then he does.... and then he loses to a woman who was doing absolutely nothing. And then he gives up and walks away from a team he was slaughtering moments before, saying he doesn't want Reed Richards to get involved. And swears vengeance in the most cartoony of fashions? "I'll get you.. later.. because I can't be bothered to do it right now!" Hrm. Must have been a defective Doombot.
I want Sable back now, but who knows when or if she'll show up.
I didn't like this issue too
I hope they do not mess up the next issue too
I have high hopes for a Ms Marvel/Spider relationship
Yeah. But I like the potential chemistry of a mutual partnership between The Black Widow and Spider-Man. I think that The Black Cat is now a Daredevil partner. So it's a fair exchange to have the Black Widow and Spider-Man working together more often. As for Ms. Marvel, Carol won't always be there to help Spidey. And I feel that The Black Widow is actually a big fan of Spider-Man more than she lets on. This is why I feel that besides Ms. Marvel and Silver Sable/Black Cat, Spider-Man should have alternate heroines as his crime fighting partners like:
She-Hulk
Psylocke
Spider-Woman
Black Widow
This makes things interesting because it insures that no one heroine will stand out as a potential love interest for Spider-Man without upsetting the balance.![]()

Which is why I stressed the idea of Spidey having a few heroines(who are interested in Spider-Man/Peter Parker) become his alternate crime fighting partners and close confidant to The Black Cat. A little diversity among the heroines wouldn't hurt because it could make some of the team-up stories interesting. And I sometimes feel that The Black Widow should have been Spider-Man's first heroine crime fighting partner after their first encounter in ASM #86.
I will wait until I read the issue to pass judgement.
Yeah, when the entire story hinges on "you must have sex to save the world," it's bound to be ridiculous. Which this was. Also, I too found it pretty weak that Spidey came to the realization that Silver Sable was "special" because "she didn't really fight for money, she fought for love" based on the fact that she refused to back down from Doctor Doom to prevent him from "crashing the wedding" as it were. Oh, and by the way, Spidey, when you say she put her life on the line with no weapons, you need to clean the lenses of your mask because it sure looked like she was pointing and shooting a gun at Doom the whole time. And speaking of Doom, yeah I think he's pretty badass myself, but powerful enough to completely outclass the "Sorcerer Supreme?" I don't think so.

Wait a minute, I just realized. The princess--a seventh child of a seventh child--was able to get married and consummate it in just seven minutes?

I thought it was an ''ok'' issue nothing special but ok nonetheless. Favourite part was the scene where Spidey burned Ock about his legacy.
Least favourite parts where some of Clark's art was very ''off'' to me personally in places though most of the time I thought it was fine.
Kinda of meh about it I guess lol.
