The Apex thing is a bit more nebulous. My guess is that which ever Apex chooses to become the 'wife' bears and possibly even raises the children, and both good and bad Apex saw themselves as too important to do such things. Still, I have to agree... a bit sexist.

This is a pretty good book. Weaver's art is amazing. Every page is well done. I love how Sinister trolls Gambit; why he'd want a clone of that feeb is beyond me. Seems like a waste of time. I liked the story well enough, but this Victorian thing is above my cultural level. 6/10.
