Sounds like things worked out pretty well for Gischler, considering he's been writing vampires for the last year or two now at Marvel.
Currently reading She-Hulk, Deadpool, Swamp Thing, Ms. Marvel

Probation: Ghost Rider, Loki: LoA, Secret Avengers

Looking forward to All-New Ultimates, Flash Gordon and Doctor Mirage.

If he wasn't pegged as "the vampire guy" already, he certainly is now.

Even though I'm usually an easy sell on all things Buffy/Angel-related, when I saw Gischler's name attached to Spike, I really had to do a lot of thinking. My only previous experience with Gischler (the "Death of Dracula" one-shot) left me so completely disgusted that I refused--for the first time in my comics-collecting life--to even consider buying a book with "X-Men" in the title. So, I'm taking a big chance on Gischler this time and if he disappoints on this, I won't buy anything else (even a Buffy-verse book) that he's attached to.

To bad Marvel didn't get him to write a Blade series.

    Can't wait for it.

Drusilla series being cancelled/postponed was a punch in the gut
