    Default Loeb's Thor?

So I know in Ultimatum Leob "killed" Thor just to bring him back in New Ultimates, my questions why? Was it so he could make Modi?

Yes he had Thor sacrifise his soul in Ultimatum to tell his next story in New Ultimates, which evidently only lead to him wrapping up his entire stuff and introducing Modi, it's all in the execution, which was bad.

It appears that way. I thought the plot device was pretty good actually. I read New Ultimates in anticipation for Thor's return. But then it all turned out rather silly and lacklustre. Thor's resurrection, his godly rage, this was Loeb's time to shine. But instead it fell limp and was very un-interesting for me. What a pile of poo. How can a writer miss such a golden opportunity? It was as if little to no effort was put into Thor's return. It's officially the most disappointing comicbook exirerience of my life. How? How could Loeb not make that epic? Did he not care?

It's a shame because the concept really appealed to me. I thought New Ultimates was going to be pretty good actually.

Killing Thor was pointless because Loeb just brought him back.

Killing Wanda was also pretty pointless as Loeb just brought her back too.

    It really bugs me.

That is not what annoyed me. Loeb's Thor was a different character to Millar's Thor. Godly rage? Ultimate Thor is a hippy bordering on Jesus here. Come on. Its basic.

Millar's Thor fought for the good people, what was disgusting was how Loeb ignored the character development and brought the 616-Thor who needed to learn humility, thats what so stupid about his Thor, but really the worst aspect was how uncaring Thor was.

Exactly, and his random obsession with Valkyrie that came out of nowhere. Led by his penis more than his mission!

Ultimate Thor needed to learn humility. His first appearance where he refused to join only because they were American disgusts me. If he was truly all about helping people he would have joined in a heartbeat.

Actually, he had no prejudice views towards any people, American or any other nation. It was the governmental establishment that he refused to be a part of. He didn't want to become part of the military seeing as a military is an organisation that kills millions of people for profit, wealth and to capitalise upon the world and it's resources. He'd rather side with the world than just one country, particularly a country that was hated and feared throughout the globe. Of course he wouldn't want to join a governmental organisation. I don't know why you assume Thor's some American hater. He's friends with lot's of Americans. They have been some of the best men he has ever had the pleasure of knowing. You speak of him as though he was ignorant. Ignorant of what?

The problem is that he didn't really even learn humility, Tony and Valkyrie just kinda talked him out of his rage.
Holding out for a Peter/Miles team up.

He learned self-sacrifice, which is part of humility.
