Eh...That scene was strange.
He never displayed strength on the level to stop Scott's optic blasts so I doubt him actually stopping a blast from Scott. Alternatively, Deadpool's blasts were weaker than Scott's, in which case it is not really a good comparison.

Well, DP's blasts took out the stack from a nuclear reactor - something made out of 6 foot thick reinforced concrete - and it cut through it like butter. DP's blasts are every bit as feat-worthy as Movie Scott's based on that alone.

So the big problem people have with the Optic Blast blocking is the fact it didn't blast Logan back and not that Logan somehow managed to create a surface capable of completely blocking an energy blast out of six thin claws that are locked in place well over one claw's width from one another? Cause that's the part that bothered me in that scene.

Maybe Hughverine is just too pretty for Deadpool to blast.

The lack of wide-beam angled blast is pretty common PIS, lol.
I figured that one was a given. I totally agree, it was stupid.

I liked everything about Origins... Right up until Stryker said "We needed your powers for the pool... The Deadpool... The Mutant Killer."
