    Exclamation Okina VS Udo Jin-E

It takes Hittokiri Battousai level to surpass Udo Jin-E.

Okina is old and is blind on one eye. But he was able to put up a good fight with Aoshi (post-Oniwaban deaths) back then.

Would Udo be able to beat Okina? The same Okina also at the end of the manga series. Fight to the death.

Eh, from what I saw, Kaoru was still better than him and teaching him. Its hard to tell because Kaoru suffered from Damselitis and kept sending 10 year olds that had barely started training and who she regularly smacked around out to fight gangsters and trained assassins while she stayed home and did girly things like cutting up her hands while failing to cook and drawing baths and just standing around doing nothing because it wouldn't do for a girl to fight and show off what the new style of the new era could do and...

    *inhales deeply*

Alright, I think I'm better now.

But yeah, Post-timeskip Yahiko didn't seem to be in Tokyo era Kenshin's league yet while a healthy Okina was able to give Aoshi (who went on to put up a good show against a Kenshin that had surpassed his Battousai mode) a fair go of it. Okina probably stomps him fairly easily.

To Yahiko's defense, he already learned the Kamiya Kasshin succession techniques. He has basically graduated from the style, though he still practices it with Kaoru. Kaoru won't have anything new to teach him, swordsmanship wise. And this Yahiko when he was younger beat one of the Su-Shin, those bodyguards of the 2nd in command of the Shanghai mafia. I admit Yahiko's win against Henya that flying juppongatana member was most likely a fluke, the win against the Su-Shin sure wasn't.

Also, Okina uses a blunt weapon. Yahiko's reverse edge's other side is sharp.

He learned the succession techs early so he could fight the Jinchu assassin (rather than Kaoru doing it herself for some reason). That just leaves the 99% of the style he skipped over to master as well, wheras Kaoru was the adjutant master who had practiced her style for years and had already mastered the succession techs and all the moves she'd taught Yahiko during the time skip as well. Yahiko lasting a second against that Su Shin guy was ridiculous unless he was nowhere near the level of his brothers, who each gave the likes of Sano, Aoshi and Saitou difficulty.

And Okina is used to fighting edged weapons, has decades more experience, and faced off against Aoshi dual wielding kodachi. The sakabatou isn't going to provode any significant boost against him.

Ditto on Okina mopping the floor with Yahiko. Too much experience, arguably faster and probably still a little stronger. Yahiko might put up some resistance, but in the end, Okina turns him into a giant, purple and blue stub with his double tonfa.

And Yahiko beating Henya AND Shu-shin was probably the BIGGEST load of PIS or jobbing in the entire series. He hasn't fought anyone in the series past minor mooks and all of a sudden he can take out someone a major arc villain (Shishio) hired as a personal henchmen? Yeah right!

Well, Henya wasn't really a swordsman. He was basically just a flying Tsukioka Tsunan/Katsu with a sword taped to his arm. And that was a fluke win by Yahiko. He caught Henya off guard.

The Su Shin thing was for real though.

Those 2 Su Shins, were far weaker than the other 2. The other oen got beat by Yahiko. The other one got beat by Sano.

Sano is faaaaaar weaker than Aoshi. In the anime, not sure if it happened in the manga, he got one-shotted by Aoshi (when Aoshi was still working with Takeda Kanryu). Which in turn is faaar weaker than Okina (pre-Aoshi fight).

Wait a minute.... I just realized that this is a huge stomp for Okina.

Theres no way Yahiko (End of Manga) is even Udo Jin E level. Maybe Raijuta level, but not Udo Jin E level. It takes Hittokiri Battousai level to beat Udo Jin E.

So yeah, this is actually a win for Okina. XD

This should have been a Udo Jin E VS Okina. I'll probably change the title.

Match up changed. Go to thread: http://forums.comicbookresources.com...6#post15360066

Aoshi knocking Sano out like that was filler. In the manga, Sano fought that muscle guy with the scars inside the mansion while Kenshin ran off to fight Aoshi.
Sano passed out after his fight and then met up with Kenshin when Hannya woke him up when Kanryu started going crazy with the gatling gun.

I don't even consider those Su shin guys a real way to gauge one's strengths. They were so damn generic and the only reason they were there was to give some other people more screen time. For crying out loud, they were named after the Fushigi Yugi gods of all things. And assuming they were, it's unbelievable that a little KID with what.. maybe a year's worth of training at most, would be able to stand up against a trained bodyguard for a mobster.

It's no secret that Watsuki's favourite character was Yahiko, so he clearly amped him up beyond what he really was.

To be fair, the Four Gods far predate Fushigi Yugi by centuries/millenia and Kenshin and Soujirou (at least) could probably have obliterated most trained bodyguards when they were barely trained kids. Heck, Yahiko might not be in their league, but he's phenomenally tough by any rational standard. However, when talking about a bodyguard team of apparent quadruplets that had the other three members square off fairly against Sano, Saitou and Aoshi, the fact that Yahiko was able to beat one of them suggests that that guy was the runt of the litter by a huge margin.

And to address an earlier point, while Sano is a good notch or two behind Aoshi and Saitou, that's only in terms of speed and skill. In terms of hitting power and durability, he's at least in their league and the guy he was fighting was pretty much pummeling him at will until Sano managed to surprise and one-shot him with the Futae no Kiwami. Considering that Yahiko's opponent didn't have a blade either, Sano (or any of the others) could have stomped him in passing while dealing with his own, especially since they were all so LOLfully beyond Yahiko's damage output that they would have destroyed that guy's segmented staff with a casual swipe. .
