Not necessarily. As we saw in the immediate aftermath of COIE, some aspects work out *very* well (the Byrne, Miller, and Perez reboots of the Trinity), and others are messier (Hawkman). These reboot efforts never go uniformly well, or uniformly terribly.

I still think the Bob Newhart approach is the way to go. Barry is hit on the head by a golf ball and wakes up next to Iris in the Silver Age, mentioning the weird dream he had. Didio apparently likes trolling fans and getting them talking about Wally, according to EVS, who insists that at some point Wally will return.

Anyhow, they know. The powers that be know fans want some of these characters back. Enough. Said. At least Didio isn't having Wally yanked from Young Justice cartoons or comics.
