    Uh, yay?

Shame about the loss of work for the pre-production staff.
Why aren't you reading Winter Soldier? You should be!

Ok I take it Paramount isn't too fond of the concept either. Or does the delay of the GI Joe sequel had anything to do with it?

It could be that Paramount is looking at their big budget movies a bit more closely.

Sounds like Paramount has some major problems. I don't think it has anything to do with "Ninja Turtles". It could be economic issues that is holding everything up. I wonder if Battleship sank Paramount.

Nah, Battleship was Universal's project. I still think they put it on hold because of us/fans. Just a thought.

Don't flatter yourself. They could care less what some fans of the 80's cartoon show think. I'd like to believe someone up there in Paramount brain kicked in and realized how horrible the concept Bay came up for the turtles is.

Isn't that akin to fans thinking the concept was a bad idea?

My theory is there might be some connection between this and the delay of the GI Joe sequel. The fact that this news came when when the other one is still fresh is a little fishy. Could be wrong but thats the vibe I'm getting out of this

I would like to believe that fans did play some sort of role in the cancellation of Bay's attempted adulteration of our beloved 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles'. I think they realized it'd be a huge waste of money if the film cost a fortune to make but only bombed miserably at the box office. I mean the online protest from Ninja Turtle fans has been unprecedented. Fans all over various message boards, Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus and GetGlue have been very vocal about their disdain for Michael Bay and his twisted vision for the Turtles.

While it may be true that GI Joe's hiatus could have played a role in this I really do believe that we the fans have also had an impact on this as well. I mean it would be foolish for Paramount/ Nickelodeon to ignore the voice of the people. It has been proven quite noticibly recently that fans do indeed affect companies decisions. Look at how the out cry among mothers, young women and girls affected DC Comics and the sexist male order depiction of females in the New 52. Nintendo acknowledged fans cries for a return to Kid Icarus and Pikmin.

The change in Power Girl's costume is evident but heroines in DC are still treated like red haired stepchilds in DC Comics.
