I got to say after seeing the trailers for the new Spiderman movie I am not really feeling the costume. IMHO, they should have used the Ben Reiley version aka the Spidergirl costume, it would be a vast improvement.

Should have gone with the classic look. You just don't mess with perfection.
But Ben Reilly's look was way better than the movie one.

The Ben Reilly costume would be better, and without the shoes.

I find the movie costume to veeeery closely resemble the Ben Reilly costume. Not exact of course, but a reasonable likeness. Plus he seems to have the impact webbing. So I'll say I like them both the same.

Yeah, first time I saw it it really reminded me of Ben Riley's costume. And, sue me, I like the kicks. Pete can't have a little shoe bling? C'mon!

It is very reminiscent of Ben Reilly in terms of having more blue on the gloves and having the spider symbol take up most of the surface of the red parts, not to mention putting the web-shooters on the outside of the gloves. All the same, it does still definitively resemble Peter Parker as Spider-Man, so I would just think it'd be like Peter-Spidey and Spider-Ben got thrown in a blender at maximum power.

Still looks better with the belt. Which apparently he has some of the time. You can see it in the video game.
Without the belt, he looks like he just has an arrow pointed at his shlong.
While I can appreciate the more Ditko-y shape, as opposed to the more Romita looking body from the original movie, I still like the original better. This one... it's like they changed just enough for my brain to go "that's not quite right." While I think the Ben Reilly costume is good, the AS-M costume is just GREAT!
