We are in the process of creating a publishing company with the premise that all profits will be donated to various charities. Please keep in mind that this thread is about the CONTENT that we'll offer as an independent publisher, not a recruiting call for talent. If you're interested on a personal level, please shoot me a message instead.
The reason I'm posting here is that, oftentimes, I find myself getting a case of tunnel vision as a comic book fan. What I mean is that I like what I like and I tend to only read that particular style(s) or series or creative team. That has been fine up until now, but with the framework of a publishing company in my hands, I want to know what EVERYONE likes. There are reasons that you're a fan of independent comics....I'd love to hear them.
I'd also like to know what you look for as a reader; the things that you will spend your money on and the things that you will never buy. What are the things that you consistently expect to see from a publisher? What are the "do's" and "do nots"? What is something that you've always wanted to see from a publisher but have never encountered?
Any feedback is welcomed and appreciated. Feel free to ask any questions, too.
