Sinister has always been one of my favorite X-men villains and Kieron Gillen has given him a new charm that just puts a smile on my face. I'm glad he's going to play a part in AvX. He should after the hints he dropped in the first arc of the relaunch. He certainly seems like he's been busy, making his own Sinister little world and making it as creepy as we've come to expect from him. I look forward to seeing how he contributes to AvX.

As for AvX #6, they're definitely setting Cyclops up as someone who is becoming corrupted by power. The whole Phoenix Five seems like they're being set up as villains and it gives the impression that the X-men are on the wrong side of history here. However, I don't think that confirms the X-men will be losers. Perhaps this is just what Marvel wants us to think. They did a good job of playing these tricks in Civil War. I suspect they can do it again and it'll keep me reading to the very end.

I'm little sad that the only reason why I can't wait for the next issue of AVX is Coipel's art. And with it for the first time this story has an epic feel to it, as it should have from the very beginning.

You telling me that you weren't impressed by the craptastic return of John Romita, Jr's enhanced spastic artwork didn't make this a must-read for you? =p Coipel should have done the artwork from the get-go. JRJR should have been relegated to drawing the avatars in the corner boxes of the comic book, not chunks of this epic story. =)
