Wolverine and the X-Men season 2 could have been REALLY good. Some of the concept art was released on the "1 Million to save WOLVERINE AND THE X-MEN" Facebook page.

Well that is just more depressing.
What is this, Horseville? Because I'm surrounded by naysayers.

Wow. Didn't know about any of those. I was kind of indifferent about the show but I was really looking forward to the second season when they showed AOA Cyclops. Too bad...

This. I honestly believe that they should start with the 05, and build however it would have to be character driven everyone clearly defined and fleshed out with chances to shine and for once pushed to their limits, after which we gradually bring in the ANAD X-men and add more characters later. However if I were to do it my teams would consist of:

Cyclops, Jean Grey, Wolverine, Beast, Storm, and Iceman: Main Team
Psylocke, Archangel, Shadowcat, Nightcrawler, Gambit: Security Team
Rogue, Colossus, Havok, Polaris, Dazzler: Back-up Team
Emma Frost, Prof. X,: Teacher, Advisor
The New Mutants: Moonstar, Karma, Cannonball, Warlock, Cypher, and Magik

I'd have guest spots for other characters but my Main Team would be the team we're introduced with some will leave making way for the Back-up Team, and certain episodes would revolve around the Security Team and the New Mutants stepping out.

lol man Storm and the rest of the main guns are huge names..they have appeared in blockbuster movies top-ratings cartoons, and they are for more than 30 years no1 comic books in sales. if you lived in the 90s you would see x-men faces in food in candy in newspapper even in toiletpapper... most people i know they have no clue who scarlet witch quicksilver wasp or nick fury is but all of them know storm cyclops beast etc...

I'm looking forward to another X-Men cartoon. The X-Men are my favourite group of characters. It's nice that Avengers are getting so much love, but in the end (whether they want to admit it or not), X-Men are Marvel's premiere team.

I'd love to see a core line-up of:

    Cyclops
    Emma Frost
    Wolverine
    Beast
    Storm
    Rogue
    Colossus
Olivier Coipel - The best damned artist on the planet!

Shout out to Kev Walker! You're doing a hell of a job!

Most importantly, Jean's hair was going to look cool in animated form for once.

I think what people are forgetting is, this would still have been WOLVERINE and the X-Men. Meaning, all those cool character designs would probably have gotten a minute each, tops, of screen time in favor of the Canuck being Drill Sergeant Nasty with claws, hypocrisy, and never being wrong.

I don't think that's really true. What some are forgetting is that mid way through the season the attention shifts from Wolverine and the X-Men to the team dynamic. Wolvie's still leading, but things are far more balanced in the second half. And pretty much all the plans that they had for season 2, involved developing Scott and Jean to center stage again.

I'd want to see a Utopia setting, and give the new series a JLU style approach, having a core roster of 7 senior X-Men, and bringing in numerous other members in various mix-n-match team-ups as the seasons progress. Just as JLU has its first season focusing and establishing the DCU and the Big 7, it also introduced their major villains. As season 2 gets underway, new members join the ranks and other familiar villains get their moments to shine.

    Season 1:

Core roster: Cyclops, Emma Frost, Wolverine, Iceman, Rogue, Colossus, Beast

Utopia's Staff: Kitty Pryde, Psylocke, Archangel, Gambit, Nightcrawler, Storm, Dr Nemesis, Forge, Danger

Utopia's Students: Hope Summers, Pixie, Rockslide, Anole, X-23, Quentin Quire, The Stepford Cuckoos, Armor, Surge, Dust

Main Villains: Magneto and the Brotherhood (Mystique, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, Blob, Pyro, Avalanche, Toad), Mr Sinister and the Marauders (Sabretooth, Scalphunter, Arclight, Blockbuster, Random, Vertigo), Juggernaut, Bastion and the Friends of Humanity, Master Mold and the Sentinels

Guest stars: X-Force (Cable, Domino, Warpath, Feral, Shatterstar) , Deadpool, Alpha Flight (Guardian, Snowbird, Puck, Sasquatch, Shaman, Northstar, Aurora), Bishop, The Avengers (Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Wasp, Hawkeye, Black Panther)

    Season 2:

Core Team: Cyclops, Emma Frost, Wolverine, Iceman, Colossus, Beast, Rogue

New additions: X-Factor (Madrox, Havok, Polaris, Wolfsbane, M, Strong Guy, Rictor), New Mutants (Cannonball, Dani Moonstar, Cypher, Warlock, Sunspot, Magma, Karma, Magik), Banshee, Sunfire, Excalibur (Captain Britain, Pete Wisdom, Meggan, Micromax, Kylun), Kazar and the Savage Land.

New enemies: Apocalypse and the Four Horsemen (Archangel, Mr Sinister, Exodus, Holocaust), The Shi'ar Empire (Lilandra, Deathbird, Gladiator and the Imperial Guard), Shadow King, Mojo, Mimic, Sauron and the Nasty Boys (Ruckus, Gorgeous George, Hairbag, Ramrod, Slab), Hellfire Club (Sebastian Shaw, Selene, Harry Leland, Donald Peirce, Mastermind), Emplate.

    This sounds absolutely fantastic.
