Thanks for this. It really explains Cliff's motivations, and after reading the interview, I can safely say that I don't feel like this is a character assassination any more.

Dallas has fired on all cylinders. Great writing; a strong cast - and strict adherance to continuity. It remains engaging and shows that you can still have good scripted tv.

I think next season we'll see John Ross coming into his own. It wasn't until the final scene that I don't think he really did. I think that right there was the definition of who John Ross will be. He's a billionaire and is married to a powerful woman and has it all.... yet he still wants more and has a chick on the side. You can't help but hate him and at the same time love him.

Get it John Ross. Get it!!!

I wasn't surprised by that, either. While we've seen signs that John Ross has changed for the better from how he was in Season 1, at the end of the day, he's still JR's son. I don't see that particular apple falling too far from the tree.

That was an awesome line. I hope Cliff stays in prison for the long haul. Ready to see some new adversaries for the Ewings.

John Ross is his daddys son, But He'll never have the intelligence or sheer sneakiness of JR. JR always has plots within plots within plots, so that even if you win, you lose. That's how it appears. Probably around same time as this year - which contradicts the earlier rumor that they might wait until summer, 2014.

I'd move it back to its original time slot Wednesdays at 9. Too much competition on Mondays with Wrastling, CBS comedy line-up, the Voice, etc.

Good point. When I said "probably around the same time as this year," I was thinking late January, not a specific night or time-slot.
