How to stop the Phoenix Force Five - Suggestions

We haven't even seen how powerful they really are, they only have fragments of the PF in each of them. If Tony came up woth a machine to kill the Pheonix, I'm sure he can come up with something to suck the power out of them.

The space team also is in possession of the Phoenix fragment that Thor smacked out of it. I guess that will serve some purpose down the line.

Bring back Dr. Doom. It will take him a couple hours to create a way to suck the Phoenix out of their bodies an into his own (the Avengers will have to deal with Dr. Doom afterwards, but its a way of stopping the P5, isn´t it?).

Somebody could use it to create an Anti-Phoenix like Necrom did, and fight the Five with it.

But I think 5 Gems vs the Phoenix is a fairer fight. Getting all 6 makes it a cumberstomp.

I think it would be pretty cool seeing a battle between gem powered heroes and the phoenix powered mutants (maybe they get a super mode or something)

The preview to the next issue shows Cyclops doesn't need the optic blasts and can read minds. Apparently build insane structures that can float as well.

Even before the beginning of AvX, I was saying that I thought Franklin Richards and his pet Galactus could beat the Phoenix force -- but it's not going to happen because what would the point be? This is Avengers vs. X-Men, not Franklin vs. Phoenix.

I figure there will either be dissent within the Phoenix 5 or Stark and company will use the bit of the PF that Thor broke off to lure it out of the 5.

Incidentally, I've been reading X-Men for a while now and after all the changes that have happened and his actions in AvX, I am really starting to hate Cyclops. He used to be my favorite X-Man but now I'm kinda hoping Logan manages to maim him just to shock him back to a more sensible way of doing things.

They should forge uber powerful weapons in Asgard and then... oh wait...

I doubt the Phoenix Force separated into 5 parts are all that strong individually to be honest. Maybe Thor level, but I doubt it. If anything, merging with the hosts it wasn't meant to merge with makes it weaker.

There is no way they would be allowed to act as world cops if they were just Thor level; the Avengers would have called the reserves, the goverments of the world would have launched their Sentinels, the 4F would have entered the fray, and they would have been already defeated.

If they are acting as de facto new masters of Earth, they must be above Thor´s power level, and, when combine their powers, they must be above Uatu the Watcher´s or the Stranger´s power level; the five together must be at least at Odin´s power level.
