Equalists pwning benders kind of makes sense in a way. All there training, tactics, weopns fighting styles and there way of thinking is tailor made for taking down benders.

If any thing the bigger complaint for me is that Mustache guy went fro being a super dangerous enemy for Korra and friends to there own personal jobber within a couple of episodes.

I wouldn't use the magnification of Ty Lee's PIS as a plus for the series, no. Of course often Ty Lee had the advantage that most people didn't know about chi blocking back then. That doesn't really apply now.

Rubber, hell, she seemed to forget she was an earthbender first. Unless physics has changed, rock is still resistant to electricity and would be thick enough to protect against chi blocking. The fact that Amon and his gang can simply walk over benders of significantly high abilities like Lin just sickens me.

Well, I can almost understand her using metal over earth the majority of the time. It's been her go-to for a few decades now, and in the city there is less useful ways to use Earthbending that doesn't wreck something.

It's not PIS, it's called being faster and smarter than the other guy. You're forgetting most of their earlier losses to the Equalists were due to them attacking from ambush and not following mook chivalry.

True, but i do find it interesting how it evolved first into a discussion on UK police then as the Rumbles Korra thread. It isn't the first time thread drift like this has happened, but i did take more notice of this.

True, but i'd of prefered they'd of been clever rather than showy. Like putting up smokes screens only they can see in using infared goggles. The relative rarity of airbending would make that a fairly solid tactic most of the time.

Eh, in the case of that one platoon, they were caught off guard by her abilities AND she was sufficiently fast and agile that by the time they realized that they should take her seriously she was already smack dab in the middle of them and they couldn't use any AOEs.

Then again, having Amon go "lol no" to even rare and powerful bending styles isn't a much better story telling technique. They could of had some middle ground instead.

There is one thing I am hoping though, as much as I like some of the benders who lost their bending to Amon..I'm really hoping the season/series doesn't end with everyone's bending magically returning.
