I wonder hows sales of Marvel will be after AvX. I for one am thinking about stopping getting wolverine and the x-men til after AvX is over cause the last 3 issues (crossovers) have sucked. Thank God Incredible Hulk and Uncanny X-Force aren't being forced into that crossover crap!

Eh some books like Avengers Academy takes even terrible events like Fear Itself and turns them into great books. Some of the best books of that title are crossovers.

So its not so much crossovers=bad but crossovers-oftentimes=bad writing.

I enjoyed this column and the use of actual comparative data to break down the so often misused monthly sales statistics. Very nice.

Most interesting info I gleaned from this was the information that DC is making more money per unit than Marvel is, while selling them at a predominately $2.99 price. Marvel may be ahead on the sales charts, but I'd rather be making more money per book produced than selling more books.

I think that is why Marvel releasing more books a 2.99, but Marvel always end up making more money for year.
