good issue, still disappointed at the behavior of the cops towards spidey despite how slott protrayed it as a more balance, some like him, others don't but don't go crazy and pull a gun on him .
The cops make me think something odd is going on towards Spidey, but yeah, I loved the issue. I read it through, then read it through again. I know it's slow moving, but Spidey is written well, and the art is gorgeous and you get the feeling it's going somewhere. Ultimate Mysterio not knowing who Parker is and then the robbery with the poor taste line? And Peter's alarm when the guy says "you know, Peter Parker?" (or whatever the line was)
Also, I like how Bendis is setting up the differences between the two characters, or at least he's pointing out for the Ultimate Spider-man people, that this guy has web-shooters (and aren't they drawn well) doesn't just rush in crazily, does expect to get on with the cops and knows what his Spider-sense is and how to react to it.
decompression aside, i thought it was a decent issue, saved by the glorious art.
Bendis said in an interview with Newsarama that everything with Mysterio would be revealed in the first issue. while it wasn't explicit, i think it's pretty obvious based on the suits hanging in his warehouse.
Prophet, Atomic Robo, Morning Glories, Whispers, Fatale, Saga, Revival, X-O Manowar, Dial H, Mouse Guard, Nowhere Men, Manhattan Projects, Think Tank
Boy, I can't wait to see the next issue on next week!! Peter is going to freak overload when he discovers the things it happens in ths whole new reality!!
am i the only one who just now realized how TERRIBLE Bendis' dialogue for Peter 616 is? I mean i ignored it through most of avengers but wow.
I have a question did 911 happen in the Ultimate Universe? I saw 2 twin buildings when Peter arrived in that universe. Was that the World Trade Center or just a random pairing of building?
I have one question about Miles-why was he out and about in the middle of the day in costume?
