The fact that he just happened to encounter Miles almost immediately after entering the Ultimate Universe felt a little forced, but I'm willing to suspend disbelief. The only thing I truly don't understand is why Spider-Man broke into somebody's house as soon as he entered the Ultimate Universe. I don't read much Amazing Spider-Man, but I'm guessing that must be where he lives in Earth 616?

Also, minor thing, but did anybody else notice in the panel where Peter sees the Triskelion that the 616 Baxter Building is under construction? When it was in Ultimates last month, didn't it look exactly like the Ultimate Universe's original Baxter Building?

    spoilers:
At the end of Peter's last pre-death story, Iron Man discovered that Ultimate Mysterio is actually a drone being remote-controlled by somebody else, so I'm thinking that he was being controlled by 616 Mysterio.

I thought the house he broke into was the Ultimate version of the warehouse where Mysterio's lab was in his universe, but I could be mistaken.

good issue, still disappointed at the behavior of the cops towards spidey despite how slott protrayed it as a more balance, some like him, others don't but don't go crazy and pull a gun on him .

Me too. He's a card carrying member of the Avengers and Fantastic Four. They should know. But the that's just Spider-Man, always misunderstood.

The cops make me think something odd is going on towards Spidey, but yeah, I loved the issue. I read it through, then read it through again. I know it's slow moving, but Spidey is written well, and the art is gorgeous and you get the feeling it's going somewhere. Ultimate Mysterio not knowing who Parker is and then the robbery with the poor taste line? And Peter's alarm when the guy says "you know, Peter Parker?" (or whatever the line was)

Also, I like how Bendis is setting up the differences between the two characters, or at least he's pointing out for the Ultimate Spider-man people, that this guy has web-shooters (and aren't they drawn well) doesn't just rush in crazily, does expect to get on with the cops and knows what his Spider-sense is and how to react to it.

Bendis said in an interview with Newsarama that everything with Mysterio would be revealed in the first issue. while it wasn't explicit, i think it's pretty obvious based on the suits hanging in his warehouse.

I have a question did 911 happen in the Ultimate Universe? I saw 2 twin buildings when Peter arrived in that universe. Was that the World Trade Center or just a random pairing of building?

I have one question about Miles-why was he out and about in the middle of the day in costume?

I was wondering that too. 616 didn't seem to have them and I KNOW 9/11 happened there.

None of the suits in Mysterio's lair match Ultimate Mysterio though.

I never read Avengers, but I thought it was pretty solid in this issue.
