Give john stewart his own book as & entitled 'the blue lantern' !

John Stewart belongs to the Green Lantern Corps, maybe even more than any other of the GLs from earth.

He's brave, has a great tactical mind, knows how to fight into a war and makes the hard decisions whenever they're needed even if it ends destroying him.

Seriously, read the current Green Lantern Corps by Tomasi, it's a great and true portrayal of the character.

I doubt it. If he had some genuine reason for writing like that he'd have said so by now instead of that nonsens about being a collective instead of one person or something like that.

Also, sometimes he slips up and forgets to write in whatever it is he usually writes in, and produces a sentence or two of plain English.

But why does he have to keep killing Lanterns and destroying planets. It's like the makers-that-be forget that there's more to the character than that. John probably just needs to be far away from any other Lanterns to do his own thing. Otherwise he's likely to kill 'em.

Maybe they should make him the GL Ambassador, where he's forced into more diplomatic situations.

To be fair, Tomasi was not the one who made John kill Mogo. He just took the idea of John being the GL who always has to make the hard decisions and decided to show some repercussions about it, it's a natural progression from the most recent events of his life and I'm sure once that his trial ends he will get over it.

Just NO. Saint Walker is "the" Blue Lantern, they said as such in the last issue of GL: New Guardians.

SW isnt an earth lantern but can b a major lead co-star in d BL title showing Stewart d ropes around d BL corps...we just think der r just waaaaaaaaay 2 many earth GL's& d nu 1 has just been announced as it is which is way we propose Stewart(d least used & most avoided earth GL) 2 bcum a BL in his own buk. Saint Walker can b wat Sinestro was/is 2 Hal.........mentor.

I'd prefer another trippy, psychological book like Mosiac, his last on-going book. Get someone like Milligan, Hine, or Morrison. They write good messed up, trippy stories, especially psychological based.

A story like dat can work with any corps nt ONLY GL related.

I would rather seem him keep the green ring, and be the representative in the JL like in the old days. Let Hal have the solo title, and put John in the team book. Nothing original about that idea, but I was and am a fan of it, none the less.

2) With d announce JLmovie coming soon Hal is gonna remain as part of d JL 4 d next 3 years @ least tilld movie get md & is released

3) After Hal hving his own solo movie(as crappy as it was) we doubt DC will eva replace him 4 John in JL.

4) DC has taken far 2 much effort & investment in Hal & d JL 2 let Hal get replaced on d team.

Never been a fan of Green Lantern in the comics but I loved John Stewart in JL unlimited. It's a shame the comic book version has been left by the way side like he has.

JLU toons is wat md us dedicated fans of Stewart but DC has refused 2 gv d xcter any leeway of developing his fanbase 4ther which is y we r saying if DC cant develop Stewart 4ther as a GL den let him b developd as a BL.

I go with what others have already said, Stewart has no connection to Blue Lanterns and you yourself admit this idea is simply a means to get Stewart a book. I reiterate, Saint Walker is the main Blue Lantern, any Blue Lantern book that may come forth should star HIM. Also whenever the day comes and a human becomes a Blue Lantern, I'd prefer it be a new female character anyway as there are too many alpha male types around as is with rings, and the compassion, love, & rage ladies are all unhinged support characters. It would be nice for once to see a female character with a good head on her shoulders.

I traditionally see John as being a GLC stalwart and enjoyed him in the recent JL cartoons and comics

It's not impossible to imagine him as a BL but I would like the idea of him having an individualized look, either going like Hal and changing the green aspects of his uniform to blue one, perhaps a militaristic look like his IL uniform or something else.

I'm hoping that this summer's GL event doesn't diminish John's role as a GL and a superhero but am concerned that he doesn't seem to have much mention in the 9/12 GL-related zero issue previews

Dats a gd idea but it wud hardly b original...just another earth GL dat is part of a team...wudnt it b alot betta with Stewart part of a team & also as a BL. Der has never been a BL as part of any team

IMO. I also don't think Blue Lantern fits the characters and would prefer if they kept him as a Green Lantern.

In d GLC buk itself Tomasi md it very VERY CLEAR dat Guy is d lead & Stewart is simply playing 'Rhodey 2 Tony Stark'. Hek, even Marvel gvs Rhodey alot mo respect by actually gving d xcter limited series, minis & a shot @ ongoings & guess wat dey do all dis 4 a xcter who had barely md any appearances anywhere outside comix until recently.

I'd love to see a solo John Stewart book, but definitely not as a Blue Lantern. It just doesn't fit him. As others have said, he's a fantastic Green Lantern and that's where he belongs.
