Another quality list from Newsarama... AVX death speculation

From the mighty brains at Newsarama, they've come up with a list of "Who's Dying in Avengers vs. X-Men? 10 Potential Victims." I feel like they're the SAT tests, where there's you have to narrow down the choices from the blatantly wrong, the misleading, and the jokes. That leaves maybe 2 of 10?

This just seems like a rehash of their other dumb lists for this event. They didn't even bother to change the pics for some of them. jeeze.

Pixie and Hank Pym are barely involved????? I don't understand their rationale, especially since Pixie is joining the cast of X-Men in a major way.

I usually like Newsarama's list, but Luke Cage and Pixie? How do they belong on a list about who will die in AvX? These characters haven't played a major role and it doesn't look like they will based on current solicitations.

None-the-less, I do agree with parts of the list. Hope is definitely the top candidate to die because things tend to end badly for characters with red hair, green eyes, and a connection to the Phoenix Force. Plus, part of being a 'messiah' often means dying for a cause. It's part of a few major religions last I checked.

But Cyclops? If Marvel kills him off, that'll be a pretty stupid move. Then again, they killed Thor off at the end of Fear Itself and he came right back. They did the same to Steve Rogers after Civil War and he was back two years later. Cyclops is just too popular a character to kill off and keep dead. Even if they do bring him back shortly after AvX, killing him would be a lame shock tactic because they did that already when he merged with Apocalypse. I think taking down a character like Illyana might make more sense. Maybe even Namor since he's never been killed off to my knowledge. I really hope Marvel doesn't resort to such overplayed shock tactics because they rarely pan out in the long run.

Sure. Y'all know how articles like ths work, the content isn't important, it's all about trying to get as many page hits as you can for as little effort as possible.

A variation of this list can be used for the next event with no apparent logic.
