I really love Murphy's artwork. Unfortunately, I'm a firm believer that monthly comics are an outdated concepts and really needs to be done away with in order to move the industry forward. I will be anticipating the trade of Punk Rock Jesus (which, I hope is in black and white).

    Good luck to you, SGM!

Punisher, Wolverine, Hellboy, Batman and Conan? Yes. Yes. Yes. I want all of these. I hope Punk Rock Jesus is successful and makes Murphy a ton of money, but I would love to see him do something with all of these characters. Especially Wolverine. His Wolverine ABCs are great. Murphy would be a great fill in artist for Batman. Marvel and Dark Horse better be paying attention.

The promotional art is ridiculously awesome for this book. SGM is a big, bright, shining star and this book will.....well, rock.

Oh brother. We can enjoy superlative Sean Murphy art without the baseless screed against monthly floppies.

He's working on something with Mignola in 2013, so Hellboy at least may be happening.

I'm very interested to see how Punk Rock Jesus turns out. I'm hoping it does very, very well.

Just finished #1. Initial reactions - wow. This really felt like a labour of love from Murphy. It's tremendously well done, looks and feels striking. Even the paper suits it perfectly. I had so many questions after the issue, not just plot-wise but also ethical, moral, scientific conundrums running through my head right now. I thought it was amazing.
Currently enjoying: Batman, Batwoman, Dial H, Detective Comics, American Vampire, Saga, The Manhattan Projects, Locke and Key, Atomic Robo, East of West...

I ordered this from my online shop today and added it to my pull. Hating that I didn't do this day before yesterday since they mailed out my pull today. Oh well at least I've got it reserved.
Pull List: Ghostbusters, Saga, Invincible, Guarding the Globe, Cyber Force, Hellboy in Hell, Punk Rock Jesus and Happy

It is. Almost to excess (some of the characters get lost in the detailed backgrounds).

I was anticipating this book heavily, and gotta say it far exceeded my high expectations. Very impressed with Murphy's writing, he set up a lot and delivered a killer cliffhanger. I do hope the HC (if it happens) get a Dave Stewart color job, he's the only guy I trust would make it perfect.

I really loved this book. Had been looking forward to it since I saw it in Previews. Got to meet Sean at the Denver Comic Con and he was REALLY cool to talk to. I picked up a cool print and while we were talking he did an awesome sketch on an art card for me (always keep those in my pocket at a con). It was really awesome. The look, the smell, and the feel of this book are all so visceral. Guessing the TPB won't have the same paper feel. Love my monthlies! I enjoy getting them and reading in installments but then going back and reading the whole thing all together once it's done. I get mileage out of my longboxes!
PULL: Chew, Walking Dead, Saga, Locke & Key, Batman, Batman Inc, Bedlam, Hellboy in Hell, Luther Strode, Jupiter's Legacy, East of West
