When I say 'different', I was actually referring more to the visuals of her character. Film is obviously a very visual medium, and Batwoman has a pretty awesome look about her.

She's also called Batwoman, people would likely be waiting for Batman to show up the whole movie.

so? Do it like in her comic - she sees Batman drop some thug one night and is inspired. All he needs is a cameo. And what's wrong with building a common mythology across different movies? It worked really well for Marvel.

It's not like you could really do say a Supergirl movie without bringing up Superman.

Only DC females I'd be interested in seeing:
    - WW (duh)
    - Vixen
    - Power Girl
    - Huntress
    - Zatanna

But movies aren't comics, I'm not sure a general audience wants to see a Batwoman movie, it's just got to much baggage with audience expectations. If it's a good story it would probably be wiser to just not call her Batwoman.

Well, the X-Men, Blade and Spider-Man movies before them also did very well...also the Men in Black and Constantine movies before those...and the Burton Batman movies before those...and the Reeve movies before those...
