AvNU takes this one. That could be a freaking movie poster.
1) Find a bad guy
2) Be Wolverine
Ultimate Wolverine is coming back, sort of!
As much as I hate to say it, Land.
I use few words because my job takes them
Pacheco. Clean, dynamic figure work.
I'm ashamed to say that the absolutely pimpin' Hulk cover for Avengers 2 by Leinil Yu has this for me. Remember all the WTF when we first saw that image without knowing who Tyrone Cash was?
Also the Hulk diamond knuckle dusters are just brilliantly ridiculous.
"Predictable? If there were any more plot twists going on, we'd need M. Night Shyamalan to randomly appear at the end saying 'What a twist' before vanishing". - Kurolegacy on Ult X-Men #8.

I love both Yu covers. I voted for Avengers 2, though I kind of regret not going with AvNU; they're both fantastic. Pacheco's cover is okay, but I'm not a fan of the way Widow and Wasp seem like afterthoughts. With Land's, I like both the background and foreground, but I'm not a fan of the two together.
I like Ultimate Comics. - Read them with us!
I also buy: Captain America, Avengers, FF, New Avengers, X-Factor, among others
I like them all but I had to go Pacheco becuase of how clean the cover was. If the Spider was not on the cover for volume 2 it would have been the winner.
I have no idea why UAvNU is tied at first place with volume 1. The UAvNU cover is pretty ugly, clearly the worst of the four!
For me it's a close one between Pacheco's and Land's. But I went with Land because that is one cool Blade (MUCH better than Yu's) and it's also a very well-drawn old Iron Man armor- looks very symbolic, but with a twist with the vampire teeth. The bloody color scheme also looks great and is very fitting. Land would've made a much much better interior artist for this arc than Dillon.
Man can't believe I'm agreeing with wyokid here!![]()
Bring back Ultimate Doctor Doom
I don't know why so many posters are ashamed of liking someone's art or even ashamed of saying that they do. It seems (quite frankly) ridiculous to me. If you like an artists cover, hats off to him, he's done a good job. Don't be ashamed of liking something and don't be ashamed to say so. Are you impressed or not? If so, what's with the disapproval? Aren't you impressed? Why be pessimistic towards something you agree is excellent? I just don't get it.
For me it's UA2 followed by UAvsNU, followed by UA3, followed by UA1. IMO Pacheco's the worst but whilst saying that I think they're all great.
I love Black Hulk in that UA2 cover. It's like Mr T bringin the pain!!!!! I pity the fool who points that out as a black stereotype. Wyokid, I bet if I knew you or looked at you I'm sure I'd be able to find something about you which was a 'White stereotype'. It's not difficult to stereotype anything, it's just not clever. Why is it that it's always YOU who's the first to point out such stereotypes? Ask yourself that? I mean, you like comics, right? Well most comicbook readers are White, hence 'White stereotype.' Such a thing shouldn't even be mentioned.
I mean, what if Black Hulk was actually White in that comic/cover? It'd be a stereotype to 'Wiggas'. Please Wyo, keep your steretypical views to yourself. Such a thing shouldn't even be mentioned. You're ALWAYS trying to find ways to individualise society. Stop it. This isn't the 20th century anymore. Let's leave such tings in the past and just move on. Stop bringing pointless shit up about a cover that in no way was supposed to be offensive.

I just want to step in and side with wyokid, not necessarily because I have a problem with the cover but I do have a problem with how you (Robbie_Jee) seem to get quite angry whenever anyone mentions that something might have sexist/racist connotations. It's obnoxious, and it annoyed me before when you attacked (wyokid?) for suggesting something might be sexist in another thread, although I didn't say anything then. Negative stereotypes and/or sexism actually do exist and are a problem, especially that latter in comics, and it reflects poorly on you for suggesting anyone should just let them be and shut up about them. Just my 2 cents.
Anyway, I think I like the UAvNU cover the most - I don't mind 1 or 3 either, but I do agree with the poster who said it seems a bit like Pacheco and added Black Widow and Wasp as an afterthought though.
Greg Land is vastly underrated IMO.
Leinel Yu was born a superhuman with special drawing powers so him and Greg Land are tied for #1.
