why is there so little talk about the new gambit series?

And sit and think about why such questions come about in the first place. Not that I care about Gambit but generally speaking marvel makes a lot of dumb decisions and learning from mistakes is generally a good thing.

X-Treme will be a big no-go for me. They tricked us by naming it X-Treme. We all thought Sage, Lifeguard and Neal Shaara (T-Bird III) would return. All hopes were up. But we only get another alternative timeline X-Book. Not interesting at all. They should have given the Streetteam (Boom-Boom, Dazzler and Lifeguard) a series and add T-Bird II and Sage in the mix, with perhaps two X-recruits (rotating).

Gambit, qwell at least they promised no Bella Donna, which is a good case. Still on my 'perhaps-I-will-try-list'

The team is all the promotion it needs. I don't really care about Gambit, but you'd have to be stupid to turn your nose up at Asmus and Mann. Chances are low, but I hope we get some Clay Mann Cecilia.

I love Asmus, but I don't even know if that's enough to get me to buy a Gambit book. Maybe if I hid it in an entirely more appropriate book for my purchasing taste, like Ted Mckeever's Mondo.

Marvel had a publicity blitz when it was first announced, and I imagine they'll push it hard in August when it's actually released. You'd think that they could at least have a few single-page ads in titles like Astonishing and Legacy, though, where he's a cast member.

Besides, all the publicity is going to Northstar/Kyle at the moment.

Marvel is heavily promoting AVX/Marriage arc, which are still happening now. Still a couple of months to go so i reckon they'll start advertising X-treme/Gambit/hawkeye when AVX is winding down.
