Ebony White comes to mind...probably the least fortunate thing Eisner came up with.
And yeah Etta and the others were occasionally more than damsels in distress, and I guess you are right about Etta...certainly she's the only one that's survived to this day? :)
I don't have anything against Hathaway and I didn't go into a rage over her getting the part of Catwoman as some people did. That said, her being Catwoman kinda excludes her from playing Diana...since people will be linking the two roles the same way it would if she had also been cast as Lois Lane for Man of Steel. Personally though I'd want her to bulk out a little for the part.
Also like I said before, for me acting skills comes first, physical appearance second (because that can be fixed).
