    Tim,
I don't mean to continue the Walking Dead comparisons because I'm sure that gets old BUT... I'm a big WD fan and also love noir. The last noir comic I read was Snyder's Severed and loved it as well. This book you have here... well it left me thirsty like the end of many Walking Dead books. The only difference is... it only took you one issue to do what WD took 100 to do! The character development was SUPERB! It's very rare that characters become familiar in only one issue but you managed to do it. My mouth dropped open during a certain bloody scene much the same way it dropped open when another book's character favorite had their big scene recently! Remarkable. I prolly oughta check out that Hack/Slash book eh?

While I loved Revival's cover, I think Frank Quitely's granny cover variant from WD #100 woulda made more sense on your book. lol

I wish you the best of success!

PS - I live in Missouri and used to make yearly trips to Wisconsin to visit my grand parents. It's cool to have a book set in the mid-west!

I don't think Tim will mind the TWD talk for now, since in a couple of months of this being on the shelves nobody will ever talk about TWD again. Just a little longer....

This is how I felt after seeing it advertised in other books but I was pleasantly surprised. I thought it was pretty solid and had some very creepy moments. I'm definitely looking forward to the next issue.

Yeah, my comic shop only had two issues on the rack. Good thing I already had it in my pull. Thanks to what you wrote, I may start doing this with other good number 1s. :)

Having recently watched Torchwood: Miracle Day, I was kinda surprised and groaned a little at a similar type of story concept, but Revival has run with the idea in a different direction then I expected that I am enjoying. Combined with spectacular art that knows when to show and when to shadow, I must admit that I'll be back for the next couple of issues.

People pointed out Miracle Day and a film called They Came Back as being similar in concept. I hadn't seen either when we started, but certainly, it's a pretty low hanging fruit of a story nugget. Our story is mostly about characters so I think it'll be very different than those two stories.

As long as it keeps up the goodness that was the first issue, it'll make me forget about those other stories.

REVIVAL issue 2 is in stores next week, AUGUST 16th. So, y'know, prepare for more chills. Also, we're having a letters page contest for issue 3: Send a letter to REVIVAL letter column and we'll pick a random winner. Revivalcomic at gmail.com and have a chance at winning a creep vinyl figure with art by Mike Norton!

    Tim,
I've got it on my pull list! Issue one gave me no doubts on the quality of upcoming issues. You've also said something here that also shows promise. You mentioned the story is character driven. That's a big plus in a world of gimmick driven story's. The idea is for Revival to be an ongoing correct? My comic guy said the other day that he thought it was a mini. I hope he's wrong!

Personally i think comics like this need a big opening and to keep the hype for a couple issues to draw a biggerr audienc. This is a new comic and if ppl dont lke the first few they r goingg to drop it. The need to come out hot in the beginning issues and then can slow down a little. Its not a big character like wolverine who can garbage it up and ppl still fallow cause they know he has potential to be great eventually. I love revival and want to see where it goes but the draw back is if issue 2 isnt awesome like issue1 then 3 and the rest of the serieswill really suffer
