Tim, i really enjoyed reading issue #1. like any good floppy, i got to the end and was like WTF? now i have to wait a month? lol well done.

A few questions if i may...

will there be an issue cap to this book? i sure hope not, i'd like to see it go at least 60 issues.

also, how many issues in this debut arc?

Mike and I have the series figured out in broad strokes, and we know the ending. But we're willing to see where the characters take us. The opening "arc" is 5 issues, though we don't intend to do "enclosed" storylines in this book. Elements from the first 5 carry over into the next issues.

I'll post my thoughts after reading it and will ask numerous questions, Mr. Seeley!

Got done reading this yesterday, oomph, what a gut punch towards the end. It's pacing, mood, set up, and mise-en-scène of the locations makes it feel small and suffocating. Also, Mr. Norton did a marvelous job with the art!

    spoilers:
What really got me was granny's teeth, hate when teeth, nails and the like get pulled back and regrows.
end of spoilers On that same subject, Mr. Seeley, have you ever checked out Baccano!?

Great first issue. I don't see this as a zombie story really. Nice bit about the teeth. Wonder what's going on there. Does anyone now if this is a mini or an ongoing? My comic guy had no idea.

I thought it was pretty decent. Good enough to keep me interested enough to buy the next issue.

I asked Tim Seeley this over tweeter and he said he'll make as much issues as people will buy them. So, it's on going, I suppose.

    Well Tim,
You have accomplished what I didnt think possible. You took a superhero reader and made him like your book. I like WD as well, but this book was a nice fresh look at the concept. Congrats on the new book I have enjoyed your Hack Slash as well periodically. This one I am hooked on. Just start reeling me in now.

Hi Tim! Loved the first issue of Revival. I picked it up because the promotional material highlighted the story as being set in Wisconsin. As a Wisconsin native I love seeing my state represented (well) in fiction.

Why did you choose the Wausau area for the setting? Have you been/lived in Wisconsin?

Just read this for the second time and it's absolutely pathetic that TWD sells 300,00 copies the same week as this, when this comic is a work of art. When there is more tensions in ONE panel and sense of wonder than the whole TWD you just get upset. Absolute masterclass this one and it needs to sell gangbusters or I won't be satisfied.

I also thought this was a really good read, and I'm on board for the rest. Definitely a different take on "zombies" and I look forward to seeing where it goes. Great art too.

Good news is that Revival #1's 2nd printing is pretty high on reorders.

Hope this bodes well for the long term prospects of this book, because I've gone back to it a few times and it just seems to have a ton of potential. A Twin Peaks meets Prince of Darkness type vibe.
