Default Anyone else excited for Revival?

I'm not a huge zombie fan, but revival looks awesome, at least from what little I know about it. Anyone know anything about this series? I haven't heard much buzz about it but I'm really looking forward to it.

I've got in on my pull list. It looks pretty interesting, and not standard zombie fare. Though I am a fan of said standard zombie stuff as well, for the most part. I'm also just starting to get into Seeley's work and so far I like what I've read (some Hack/Slash).

    Bring it on!

I've been looking forward to this one. I don't think it really sounds like a zombie story though. Here's some info on it:

    And some previews:

Yeah, that's what drew me to it. While technically a zombie is any reanimated corpse, the zombie genre is something more specific and this definitely doesn't fall into it. Instead there's some other type of zombie event goin on and the phrase "farm noir" really got my attention

It looks well, different. It seems like it has sentient zombies or something. I am interested.
Pull List: Saga, Danger Club, Invincible, Chew, Animal Man, Aquaman, Supergirl, Earth 2, Dancer, The Flash, TWD, Before Watchmen, Harbinger, and Swamp Thing

I added this to my pull on a whim. I don't have any expectations or seen any previews so hopefully I'm surprised.

Today has been a great day for comics! I really enjoyed Revival #1. It's a very fresh take on the "zombie". It really doesn't fit that pigeonhole at all. It's pretty awesome actually.
Currently enjoying: Batman, Batwoman, Dial H, Detective Comics, American Vampire, Saga, The Manhattan Projects, Locke and Key, Atomic Robo, East of West...

From the reviews I've seen it looks pretty interesting. Just the premise alone is what drew me in. I like the fact that this isn't a full blown pandemic but a small isolated event. Has anyone watched the movie dreamcatcher? I think it's based on a Stephen King book although I'm not sure. Dreamcatcher is an awesome movie, and looks similar to this so hopefully it delivers.

Issue had more creativity, characterization and interest then the full snore that is TWD. Kirkman is a writer, this brah is a storyteller.

Thanks so much everyone! This is Tim Seeley, writer of REVIVAL. Feel free to ask any question here, and I'll try to answer without ruining any mysteries!!

Looking forward to reading this. I thought I had put this on my pull list long ago but turns out I had not. Fortunately my LCS's 2nd location had an extra copy and they are sending it over for me so I should have it tonight. The preview looked great and I love Seeley's Hack/Slash so I'm expecting good things from this.
