DC destroyed Captain Marvel. Its about time they paid him back.

You really think Superman - the character that is the foundation of the whole superhero industry, the great grandaddy of all superheroes, the genesis of superhero comics and who single handedly saved the comics industry when he debuted - not more important than Blue Beetle? Really?

To her those are not a valid points. Everything you just typed was in the past. Now days Batman is the truth so marketing Superman and telling great stories with and about him is pointless.

I've always thought Superman was a cool character but I've never really been a fan of his comics until the Byrne\Wolfman\Stern\Ordway Era! Prior to that the only Superman comic I bought semi-regularly was DC COMICS PRESENTS which was a Team-Up book, that was LO-ONG overdue for Superman. I'm intrigued by Action Comics but haven't bought any yet largely due to the $4.oo price tag but I'm game.

If DC wants me to buy Superman regularly they would have to bring in some hot new villains, great writing and artwork and move him to another paper or network where they can bring in some new cast members besides Perry.Lois and Jimmy. But these changes would probably annoy the regular Supes fans!

    ON A RELATED NOTE:
Catherine Grant was a great character, even more interesting than Lana Lang (on Smallville, that is) but she took a back seat to Lois PAIN so that's how that goes. Oh, well, thank goodness for GREEN LANTERN-- there's an example of a good writer backed up by amazing artists breathing new life into a 72-year old concept or 55 years if you base it on Hal Jordan alone!
TUCO (Eli Wallach): "Whoever double-crosses me and leaves me alive--he understands nothing about Tuco!!"

Then can you please inform her that Superman is still doing better than everybody else other than Batman in DC. Action outsells everything else other than Batman. He does star in JL too you know and Superman outsells everything else than those mentioned above and Green Lantern. Still one of his comics does better than GL too and a movie is coming up which I can bet my head that it will do at least better that the shit that was the GL movie.

That's true; and if they can do it for GL, imagine what can be done with a character like Superman.

I can see your point (I kinda said so in my previous post even), but I think you're missing mine. Also, saying that Superman is NOT more important than Blue Beetle is too much of a stretch, and you know it.

Simply coasting along isn't going to help matters. DC and WB need to promote Superman as strongly as they do Batman. I mean, jeez, Marvel promotes all of their big guns.

Wholeheartedly agree. 2013 should be all about Superman, period.
