So we will have both Young Justice and Teen Titans at the same time? Interesting.

Let's hope this doesn't threaten Young Justice.

TEEN TITANS, GO.....away. Far, far away. I was never the biggest fan of the original show; I thought they all acted like a bunch of hyper-active ten year olds instead of teenagers, and I hated the watered down version of Terra's betrayal of the team. The newer version is just way too cutesy for my tastes. I can't stand the three minute shorts, so I have no interest in watching a full 22-minute episode of this inane treacle.

These guys have already had a go; I'd much rather see The Super Best-Friends shorts--which star Supergirl, Batgirl, and Wonder Girl, if you don't know--made into a show. Plastic Man, too. If they weren't so bound and determined to make it silly, those Animal Man shorts would make for a killer cartoon as well. While we're on the subject, DC should use these shorts to showcase lesser known heroes like Icon & Star, Hardware, Hawkman, and Dial H for Hero.
Thus do I write the first chapter of my new scripture. And the first verse is "Let it all burn."

So far Atom is the only short I care about. For one it's one of the few shorts where the animation is ten times better than the other half assed animations and another, it has a Johnny Quest feel to it. Don't mind Super Best Friends though

    *sees the chibi picture*

No, no, no, can't be true... Just can't--

"Debuting in 2013, Teen Titans Go! feature the all-new comedic adventures of Robin, Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy and Cyborg, who now appear in chibi form"

    Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugh.

Yes. That Atom serial is so effing boss. I have the original comics it's based on; this is the second time it's beed adapted(the first was on Batman: Brave and the Bold). I LOVE Super Best-Friends. I could totally see that being a regular series.

I DID like the Teen Titans shorts but after seeing the recent short I don't have much faith in a 30min episode of this. ATT was childish at times but this one makes ATT look more mature.

Criticizing a Saturday morning kids cartoon for being childish would seem to be missing the point.

Not every animated show has to be aimed at "grown up" comic book nerds. While animation doesn't have to be just for kids, that doesn't mean there shouldn't be any for kids. Until Sword of the Atom, the TT shorts were the only ones I found even mildly entertaining, and I'm sure that the experience pros behind the show understand the need to make adjustments when going from a 1 minute short to half-hour serial format.

You were entertained by a Saturday morning kid's cartoon? Shouldn't you have been watching Good Morning America? What kind of "adult" are you?

The kind who doesn't indulge in the self-deluding pretension that the very concept of superheroes isn't a form of juvenile power fantasy and doesn't denigrate a well-made piece of entertainment for refusing to pretend otherwise.
