AMC has released the first image of English actor David Morrissey as the fan-favorite villain The Governor from the upcoming third season of "The Walking Dead."

Doesn't *look* much like the Governor, but he does look like an asshole. Hope it's good. Also weird seeing an Asian with him - I recall he was a bit of a racist wasn't he?

It is interesting the heavy departure from the look of a definitive character with a definitive look. Everyone else so far has stayed pretty close to their comic counterpart. At least in looks, if not in character.

Now, I'm not one who really gives a shit what he looks like so much as how he plays the character, but it is an interesting departure.

LOL. You're right though. I don't think the Governor was particularly racist. Just a scumbag and sociopath to everyone and the occasional racist comment is all a part of that bag.

Actually, he already played the doctor... sort of. He played a man who believed he was the doctor, but it turned out he wasn't. It was an episode of Tenants Doctor Who run. I believe the episode was titled "The Next Doctor" or something like that.

Danny Trejo would have been a perfect Governor! He's big and bad@$$ enough and has that look. Maybe too big for this cast? The guy is built and scary when he wants to be.
