Yeah, the team will come into play in the second arc, according to the writer. The first arc is concentrating on the Pete/Harada relationship that drives the conflict...Sort of what the Zero issue of Harbinger did the first time around.

It's funny, because Valiant didn't have any team books other than Harbinger pre-Unity, and even that wasn't a traditional "team" book...then eventually launched HARD Corps and Armorines.

I think they should look at Secret Weapons, the Avengers of the Valiant Universe, this time around as a vehicle for good characters who wouldn't necessarily be able to carry a solo series today: Ninjak, Dr. Mirage, etc...They could be run by the Weaponeers and the Armorines could be their back-up. Would make for a good 8th title after Eternal Warrior, Rai and Shadowman.
VALIANT, Saga, Manhattan Projects, Locke & Key, Hawkeye, Young Avengers.

I just took the time to re-read X-O #2 again and I've got to say, this series has been nothing short of amazing to me so far! I loved the escape plans that Aric devised and the ending where you see the prist bowing to him because the Shanhara armor chose him was spine tingling. Seeing his hand chopped off and then seeing him get revenge for it years later was pretty sweet, I'm just really enjoying the plotting and the action in this book and the writing/art has been absolutely phenomenal. Valiant is really making a hard case for me considering them my favorite indy publisher, but Dynamite still rules the roost in my opinion even though Valiant is really hooking me with X-O and Harbinger so far.

I'm really glad I avoided the old Valiant stuff and I'm really enjoying these books based on today's iterations and I will continue to follow the new Valiant until they give me a reason not to.
