Ultimate Human is fantastic, read 1-3 but sadly have to wait till next Thursday for issue 4, besides that getting Ultimate X-Men, Spider-Men, and haven't decided if Im gonna get one of the other series or get ultimate fallout, I just finished Ultimates vs Avengers and the first two Avengers, avengers 3 isn't on comixology yet which sucks cause parts of vs are confusing cause I haven't read 3, is fallout worth reading? I mean I've been reading all of the Ultimate titles since the new #1s, would that be the next best thing to read? Or stick with getting old UU series for now?

Only read Fallout AFTER you've read all of USM #1-160
Anyone who doesn't like Miles Morales is a racist.

my amazon wish list and trades I own but haven't read list right now are longer than my comic pull list.. mostly because of the Ultimate Universe. I started reading Ultimate Spider-Man at the second half of the death of Spider-Man arc, so after that I decided to catch up with the recent story rather than start from the beginning yet. First I ordered the Spider-Man edition of Ultimatum, the 4 Ultimate Comics Spider-Man trades and fall out, then the Avengers Omnibus, then Doomsday, which I'm reading now, and it's a really awesome collection. I've already ordered Ultimate Captain America, New Ultimates, and Ultimate Thor, and I have Avengers Vs. New Ultimates in the Avengers Omnibus. So i plan on re reading the death of Spider-Man when I read that, then re reading fallout and the first 11 issues of Ultimate Miles. My little bro decided to start reading USM after I made him read #11 so I'll be able to talk to him while I read it. Meanwhile, I'll be waiting for my USM omnibus so I can start reading that and the Ultimates Ultimate Collection that's been sitting on my shelf, next in line for order is Ultimate team up, Ultimate Six, all 3 Ultimate Gah Lak Tus trades because the trilogy collection is too expensive, then Ultimate Vision, Ultimates 2 Ultimate collection, Ultimate X-Men & Fantastic 4, Ultiimate Wolverine Vs. Hulk, Ultimate Human, Ultimate Origins, and then I re read Spider-Man's Ultimatum. I still haven't decided if I'll be buying all the small USM trades or just waiting and praying for more Omnibi

Am I missing anything important? Am I about to read something that sucks? Maybe someone can clarify to me where in the reading order Ultimate X belongs because that's one I've heard of on this forum but am not sure when it happened

What sucks bout the UU is there's so muc for me to catch up on if I chose to , where as of I stry picking up DC books again I'm only maybe 2-3 issues behind since the DCNu, and the last few days I've been struggling with what my pull list will be a month cause of the price, I read American Vamp( 3 bucks plus the new mini starting next week. Anothrr 3 bucks a month for 5 mo.s), Venom (3 bucks). Uncanny X-Force( 4 bucks) then I cant decide of I wanna do the 3 UU books (12 bucks, plus catch up on old titles an minis) or Batman, Catwoman, and Red Hood (10 bucks). Sucks

The Ultimate Universe is harder to catch up on than DC? I disagree.
I only read USM and Ultimates, but if I wanted to pick up X-men I'd just read everything after Ultimatum, which would take a couple days, and catch up with the older stuff later.

I'm currently caught up with everything past ultimatum but fallout and avengers 3, what I meant by catch up was all of the pre-ultimatum stuff

But that's kind of comparing apples to oranges. If you're talking about DCNu, then you can only really compare to the post-DoSM Ultimate books. And for those, there's only about 2 more per book for Ultimate than DC. But if you're going to go back to Ultimatum, then you also have to take DC back to mid-2009, because many of those stories are still canon.
I like Ultimate Comics. - Read them with us!

I also buy: Captain America, Avengers, FF, New Avengers, X-Factor, among others

DCNu all I follow is Bat titles though, UU I follow everything, my budget allows me bout 20 bucks worth of comics and with all the titles is like to buy it comes close to 30, and that not including the uU pre-Ultimatuim

sounds like your problem isn't what sucks about the UU, it's what sucks about your pull list and budget.
I'd recommend keeping the books you like most and dropping one of each publisher. I'm happy right now with just USM and Ultimates for Ultimate books and I've dropped a few Marvel Main U books. I picked up a crap load of DC books during night of the owls, but only kept batmman, but now I might replace that with Batman Inc. and I might add Animal Man. This is getting kinda rough cause I also have 4 image books, two Red 5 books, 11 Marvel, and then I got the new Gambit and the new Hawkeye ongoings on the way. Also Infernal Man-thing 3 parter and Spider-Men of course.

But as for getting caught up, don't worry too much about getting all the pre ultimatum stuff.. Just keep it all on your amazon wish list and order it all one by one. The good thing about taking the time to catch up in the Ultimate U is that 90% of the issues are very good and important to the plot, so reading them won't just feel like you're reading just to catch up, you'll be thoroughly entertained.
