I'll just take my usual stance that I do with this board. Leave while I'm still excited. Enjoy!

Are you sure that "by the grace of god" you survived? Maybe god was trying to GET you and missed??!!??

Its only obvious a Wonder Woman is gonna be made. Marvel and DC are in competition yet again to see who can make a good female based superhero/action film. WB wanna get in there first. Both companies know there is a market for it. Lets just hope it does not suck when it eventually gets made.

When I read about the JLA getting into position...I said, just last night in the DC forum, that Flash and WW would get the greenlight. It just happened faster than I thought for WW.
I'm worried about DC/WB, as many are...they have a bad track record with comic-to-movie adaptations outside Batman and Superman.
WW making it comes down to two things: script and actress...if by some act of God, they get those two things right...we may get something we wouldn't be ashamed to say we saw more than once...
Odds are we might get a Clash of the Titansesque WW movie...which I wouldn't mind seeing...this movie is going to have to me smart, action-packed and have it's own sense of humor IMO to make it.
We'll see...but I'm not jumping around...I'll refrain from doing that until everything is said and done...and folks are raving about how good the film actually is...

Just hope it's not going to be a mess like Green Lantern
GL was not my fav superhero movie, but it didn't suck, IMO. I enjoyed it more than Thor and just as much as Captain America.
I'm excited for a possible big-screen WW! Goldenberg has written some solid scripts and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he does Diana proud. It doesn't even have to be my vision of WW--everyone seems to have their own fav version--I just want a kick-ass story and bad-ass Diana. I do hope they go for a Greek warrior-themed uniform (battle skirt, functional breastplate armor, sandal-like boots). But again, I love the idea of this even if she dons the granny panties. Go Wondy!
It's better than nothing.
Whatever happens, it seems somewhat likely that we'll see Wonder Woman on the big-screen, either in her own solo movie or as part of the Justice League. I just hope that the most recent live-action version of the characters, as seen in the abandoned TV pilot, does NOT impact on the big-screen version at all.
I would be very interested to see a "modern mythological" take on Wonder Woman which utilises the recent comics reboot and hopefully comes across as a good version of a mix of movies like Clash/Wrath of the Titans, Immortal and Percy Jackson.
As for Justice League, I just hope the character is treated as well as Black Widow was treated in The Avengers. And that she doesn't end up filling a lacklustre supporting role like Black Widow did in Iron Man 2.
I guess I'm somewhat excited that they haven't given up completely (yet?) on a WW movie.
But, given WB's track record, it's hard to get too many hopes up (yet?).
In the meantime, I'm looking foward to "Brave."![]()

I would choose Chiang's gods, or at least more modern gods like Rucka's
But to entertain the general audience and to give a more epic feel, I think it's proper to go with classic
Chiang's gods but with a more.... force of nature type of thing about them. Like... Hades looks cool but he doesnt look like a powerhouse or anything the way Fiennes' Hades looks in Clash of the Titans, no matter how cliche he might look. The other gods are fine regarding that. Just play it up a bit is all i'm saying.
Kinda concerning to me personally that these projects are being passed on to those responsible for Green Lantern, which was a huge bomb.
Not holding my breath for either but I think I'd wished they'd do a Wonder Woman film just to finally be done with only working on one for... probably since the first Batman film.
