I wish that Kevin Maguire was both drawing and writing the whole title, that way it would at least be fun.

Comic Books are fun, Comic Book fans not so much.
This indeed seemed like the biggest plot hole. She shouldn't be able to get near him. Certainly not inside the cooling pond, where she should get a lethal dose of rads in a couple of minutes. But I guess that's the peril of putting two such different characters together---you can't just have one helplessly wait outside, and you have to make the other NEED the first. Of course, Superman/Batman has handled that problem for a bit, so in the future, Levitz might want to look at how they managed.
On the whole though, not bad. He put a LOT of stuff out there this issue, gave a feel for how the ladies live their lives, advanced several plot points, and maybe depowered PG again...sigh.
Did you guys notice that Power Girl's fight with the Irradiated Man was an almost frame-by-frame replay of the original (e.g. Pre-COIE) Supergirl's fight with the Anti-Monitor in COIE # 7...except Kara/Karen didn't die this time?

Agreed. Levitz is portraying them as stereotypical strong superheroines, there's nothing distinctive about the characterization.
Well, since Perez draw COIE I guess he either was paying a homage or he's getting out of ideas about how to portray a fight. I think it's the latter unfortunately.

i liked her in batman/superman
Creativity involves breaking out of established patterns in order to look at things in a different way.

I liked it fine, although the flashback scenes weren't as well done as last issue. Same artist? I wondered about Huntress jumping the goon, too, but she went out of the way to mention the armor she's wearing.. and she may have popped an Adam West Bat-Radiation Resistance pill off cameraI didn't notice the Anti-Monitor thing but.. well.. I haven't read that since back when it came out! Isn't that issue free at Comixology? Gotta check!
So what is this guy, and why is he active now? Could he be what went through the Boom Tube they were caught in? Is he some type of hybrid between something from their side merged with Apokolips tech from the Earth 0 invasion?
Did Wonder Woman and Superman just catch an aircraft carrier?
Didn't care for this one as much as I did #1. The flashbacks were, for the most part, fine, I just thought the fighting sequences were kinda bland, mostly because the villain is bland. He has the potential to get at least a bit more interesting though when his connection to Earth-2 is revealed. And while I get the intended juxtaposition of having a different artist for the flashback panels, I find myself just wishing it was Perez all the way through. To me a satisfying alternative would actually be to make the flashback portions black and white.
Nothing wrong with Helena whatsoever. Just sour grapes that she's not Helena Bertinelli. Which I can appreciate is a sore spot with her fans but it's still not a negative toward this Huntress.

Another fun issue. It hasn't worked so well for Kara to be out of the game for so long. She needs to relearn to be more careful.
Pull list:
Batgirl, Wonder Woman, Worlds' Finest, My Little Pony, The Flash, Animal Man, Birds of Prey, Lone Ranger
I don't know, I thought the art was just fine and the story was engaging enough, I'm really interested in the new subplot concerning whether they were the only ones to travel to Earth or not and I look forward to seeing it unfold.
One element I really enjoyed was the question of whether the Darkseid that the Justice League faced off against in the first few issues was the same as the one the trinity from Earth 2 fought against. Can boom tubes travel between dimensions? It seems like an element that will be built on to me and it really gets me thinking.
I have a feeling that not only is the Darkseid that killed the Trinity of Earth-2 the same as the one who fought the Justice League recently (well, five years ago in Prime-Earth continuity), but *also* the Pre-COIE and Post-COIE Darkseid that spanned the time from when Jack Kirby introduced him into the DCU to FINAL CRISIS. It'd be neat if Darkseid were the *one* constant throughout *all* the continuities and parallel worlds/timelines.

There is so much that isn't working about this series. I love the fact that Power Girl is actually an older alternate Supergirl, but everything else is tiresome. The idea that Helena is Bruce's daughter (any Bruce) is downright lazy I don't care if it's an old revamp of her original character. The idea that Karen could become a billionaire and get the cover of Time by buying up alien tech without clashing with Lex Luthor or Bruce Wayne, or them finding out she is Kryptonian, is crazy. That The Huntress could crime-fight in Gotham without butting heads with her "dad" is offensive. But those aren't the things they are trying to discuss in the flashbacks. Story wise it just leaves a lot to be desired.
