Survival Horror tapered off I think because studios were running out of things to do with the genre. The mechanics and ideas have a limited toolbox. I don't even consider Dead Space "survival horror" because it isn't difficult to survive in those games. Dead Space gave you the game's best weapon right off the bat.

Dishonored has a lot of hype to live up to in my book. Everything that has been shown for it so far looks really sharp. Then again, I thought Deus Ex Human Revolutions looked very good too, on a scale of 1-10 I'd give that game a 6.5 at best once I finally played it.

Not a goddamn word on Last Guardian, so while Microsoft and Nintendo were dissapointing, they didn't actually piss me off, just bored me.

AC3, Watch Dogs, Planetside 2, Firefall, KUF II, Dust 514, The Elder Scrolls Online, Torchlight II, R.A.W., PSO 2, Hitman: Absolution, GoW Ascension, Darksiders 2, War of the Roses, The Last of Us, Overgrowth, Aliens: Colonial Marines, Borderlands 2, Star Wars: 1313, Renaissance Heroes, Halo 4, Rabbids Land, the new Simcity, Transformers: FoC, Hawken, Mechwarrior Online, Reign of Thunder and Marvel Avengers: BfE.

I am mostly sick and tired of the military shooters so I am glad for the Mech games coming out. Don't think 1313 will be anything special but hopefully it could be a more advanced version of the bounty hunter game. The most anticipated for me would have been Rome 2: Total War but its still TBA.

I wasn't really looking forward to anything specific, but I was quite impressed with the Splinter Cell and Castlevania 2 trailers.

Actualy you could play it by yourself with no stupid AI trailing you i.e. like the original games, or have a drop in, drop out online co-op playthrough. And depending on how you play is how the story line progresses. And of course the mention of multiple endings which might help boost it a bit.

I really did like the CastleVania 2 and CastleVania Lords of Shadow Mirror of Fate previews. The best CastleVania LOS Mirror of Fate preview was the extended exclusive look from the Nintendo 3DS Keynote which featured Igor riding The Executioner.

I'm really looking forward to picking up C:LOS Mirror of Fate. Another exciting E3 development is the nostalgic trip back to Castle of Illusion in Epic Mickey Power of Illusion. One major point that I am concerned about is whether or not Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion will make use of the 3D capabilities of the Nintendo 3DS system. I've heard absolutely nothing about the 3D effect as to whether or not it will be put to use by DreamRift's development team. Aside from that matter I'm truly highly interested in buying this title. I really liked the first Epic Mickey on the Wii.

Assassin's Creed Liberation on the PS Vita is also looking to be a must purchase as well. I think this year's E3 was marvelous. I've also got to agree however that I was also saddened that there was no word of Halo Wars 2.

I've actually changed my mind about E3 this year and I quite like a few of the games shown there now.

Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale is probably the one I'm most optimistic about. I still only intend to buy it if Crash Bandicoot is in the game though. Considering the number of people who want him to be in, I'd be amazed if he wasn't.

Even though I have no intention of getting a Wii U, Project P-100 looks very interesting.

Dishonored looks really good. I saw a comment on Youtube describing it as a cross between Bioshock and Deus Ex, which I thought was a really good description.

I'm surprised by how much I'm looking forward to LittleBigPlanet Karting too. I'm sure it'll be the same as the other two, with the more bizarre levels being impossible for me to create and absolutely nobody playing the levels I do create but they do a great job of getting me excited for it. I love that rocket boxing glove weapon ...

It's a shame I had to search for three out of those four games when I think at least two of them are the most interesting of the whole show but whatever, at least they were showcased. I never thought I'd say this but thank God for Gamespot. If it wasn't for their fifteen-minute-long demonstrations on YouTube, I'd have loathed this year's E3.
