Looking at the supporting cast list, I think I'll do a direct comparison to Stephgirl's first however many issues. Up to the Collision crossover. Seeing as Babsgirl just did her first proper crossover, and is at about the same issue, I think this is as good a comparison as we'll get.

    Supporting Cast so far:

1.) Jim Freakin' Gordon: Smaller role, somewhat unsurprisingly

2.) Steph's mum. Trying to get over the whole "I was a druggie absentee mum, you were kinda dead" thing. Makes waffles.

3.) Oracle: tech chick and mentor.

4.) Detective Nick Gage : Tall, Dark and Handsome new GCPD Detective who just transferred in. Dark and mysterious past, yet to be elaborated on.

    5) Wendy: Got crippled due to being involved with the Titans. Rather angry.

    6) Leslie Thompkins. Only in a couple of issues and doesn't do much other than get the plot moving.
Guest Stars for the first year:

    1.) Batman

    2.) Robin

    3.) Red Robin

4.) Upcoming: Supergirl. And it is awesome.

    Villains for the first year:

    1.) Scarecrow

    2.) Roxy Rocket

    3.) Dr Phosphorus

4.) That guy who makes replicas of himself but isn't as awesome as Madrox.

    5.) Roulette

6.) Collision - all of RR's LoA foes, for an issue.

    7.) Upcoming: Calculator

~7.) Calculator tech zombies, including Huntress, Jim Gordon, Catwoman and Manbat

lolz, nigh copy and paste cast. Of course, BQM probably copied and pasted it too. Parent (rarely more than one), nakama guest visits, one or two characters to tie in civilian life, a cop or two. Works wonders when its done right. Boring and vanilla as cardboard otherwise. From memory, USM and the second half of RR used it too.

I think she should be an emergency reserve, like if some Punk took over ect she could assist.

There can NEVER be a Batgirl (Babs) thread that is discussed on it's own merits w/out someone wanting to dredge out comparative criticisms to personally preferred discontinued characters. At best one ignores, at worst one wants to hit their head against a proverbial wall at times
    Pull list:
Adventure Time, Batgirl, Batman & Robin, BOP, Earth 2, Guardians of the Galaxy, He-Man, Katana, Nightwing, Shadowman, Swamp Thing, The Ultimates, Ultimate Spider-Man, Worlds' Finest

Down the line it'd be fine, but she's still literally getting her footing back: it's a bit early to join the big League.
Pull List; seems to be too long to fit in my sig...

By "down the line", you mean like five or six years?

I dunno': comic time being so compressed it's hard to give a set time. Basically, I'd say after she goes several issues of her own book without it being mentioned.

I like keeping Justice League small. However, i do think it would be cool for the Leauge to be open to Bruce's proteges so when he is unavailable they could use Nightwing or Batgirl who have some of his skill set. it would be cool if, in a particular story arc, they call batman but then he sends Dick or Babs. it would make for some interesting dialog, especially when Lantern gets upset because he was looking forward to giving Batman a hard time.
    Chill!

Yes, both GL getting flumoxed at having Batgirl instead of Batman and his not wanting to diss her and WW having an interesting dynamic of welcoming having a "sister" on the team. I like your idea and it makes sense to me to have Batman send either Nightwing or Batgirl as his proxy if he's too busy on another case.

But that doesn't seem very team-like . . . to call in and say, "Well, I can't make it, but maybe one of the kids can cover for me?"

He's already the least physically-powered member, so it's his experience and intellect that are his stengths. And in the DCnU, neither Dick nor Babs can really match that quite yet.

Neither Nightwing nor Batgirl are "kid" anything. Neither are sidekicks, each are independent heroes in their own solo titles that both work with Batman. If Batman couldn't be available but the JL needed some "bat" expertise I don't see why either Dick or Barbara couldn't fill in if Batman requested it, and the JL would trust his judgement.
