Yessir. A lot of the x-characters have been watered down. It's sad.

Meehl, what do you think is so innovative about the X-Books? Because they seem like the 90's on crack, baddass has become the norm for several years now, if they all become violent backstabbing jerks then it is just repetitive, even the same themes are being repeated. I dont see spilling blood has to equal new and edgy. It can take only 10 minutes to read a comic now and you dont get as much story as you used to for the price, as well as plot points can be disregarded from issue to issue just to fit the story. I think there have beein some valid complaints and event fatique hasn't helped them the books either.

AS someone who has enjoyed Morrisons, Whedons and Caseys X-Men as well as Ultimate X-Men and X-Statix you cant just say everyone who has valid gripes as not liking change. I'm not silly enough to think I'll be happy as soon as Kurt comes back, he'd probably just be wall paper again or turned into a jerk, which I may be on to something since Remender wanted to use the original... :-p.

But, C'mon people, if you dont like them vote with your wallet. It's not that hard.

Claremont, I really miss Claremont. I have always liked his work and I even loved most of Xtreme. Attached to this is me missing storm, I just do not think anyone can match claremont in writing her.

Also kinda miss the goodness of the X-men. I mean it is nice to see some of them move into morally ambiguous territory (I think it was a great move for cyclops). But everyone doesn't need to move there and stay there. Moving with this line of reasoning, Kurt being replaced by a killer is something that just has sat wrong with me.

I miss fun gambit and I miss fun rogue.

I miss pocky, but it is more like I miss a really threatening villain the X-men could call their own.

I miss the Wolverine who wasn't a giant tool.

I miss fun issues, where some drama and character could develop. I mean it does not all have to be world ending threats all the time.

I miss real character growth and change, everyone has just kinda stagnated since Morrison and house of M.

Guilty pleasures, but I miss the New X-men class and I miss the old X-23 series Liu was writing.
