should Superboy have one unified look?

ok if i was in charge i would make him created by Cadmus,but Cadmus is funded and owned by lex.he would be freed by tim,bart,and cassie,because i dont think lex who want to make a teen,so breaking him out early would be the reason we have a superBOY,not a superMAN clone.
He would wear the YJ solar suit,but all black,with red belt line,and black fingerless gloves,with occassional use of his leather jacket.
His powers would be a mixed bag.being only half kryptonian,would mean only half the power,so luke cage level power,and then he would have TK,thru mutation of kryptonian solar cells into TK ones,OR awakening a latent metagene in lexs dna,but either way he achieves dynamic strength,speed,and durability thru his TK.also flight,sensory powers,fullTK,and molecular level manipulation,also doijg a human torch,manipulating the oxygen around him,he looks like he has heat vision.

This is how he looks in the comics,YJ show,and superman family adventures.question is should he have one look,for better cross media appeal,and just to have one defintive look,like most other characters in comics already do???

Forgetting the bottom two but when you put them side by side, I find the tron suit to be a much much better look. Maybe its the "I'm Superboy... in cargo pants!" that's throwing me.

Someone should find a pic.of SBs YJ white solar suit,and color.it all.black,and add the fingerless gloves.to it,or just.take his current YJ top.half.and paste.it to the bottom half.of the solar suit when colored.black,i think most on here would think it was badass.

I grew up with Superboy as the teenage Clark in the 1970's, so that will always be a favorite with me.

i think kesel/grummett/hazzlewood had amagic that cant be repilcated,and i havent seen since.

geoff brought some really nice iconic pieces to the character,and i also liked the fact that he wore t shirt and jeans,cause it det him apart from superman.

what i like about the nuSB is that he is portrayed as a real heavy hitter powerhouse finally,i love that he is kryptonians equal,not the weak link in the family now.also i like that he unique and different than the other S hereoes,thats one of his strongest points is that he is a "super" ,but different.

see superman is the greatest hero of all,and kon defies the idea that there can never be anyone like him,or from him.when bruce has 100's of Robins,flashes,GLs,its always been that there was only one superman,but SB still exists.i think because he is so different helps keep him alive,and kicking.

i also believe us superboy fans are broken up into way to many factions,and that imo hurts the characters appeal or popularity.if we all had one SB to look at,and we all had one to enjoy he would have a stronger standing in the DCU,also if we had just one SB,one look,one origin,one powerset,then we could cross fans over from one place to another easier,also bring in new fans,without any complications.

wow yeah,only thing its missing is a red line that seperates the top from the bottom.course this look would be taken to the next "super" level by a leather jacket or some boots.i really do think he needs a suit that has a basic form,not overly complicated,thats why i liked the solar suit,it its only flaw was being all white,when he is a black and red kinda kid.

Yeah its funny the season two suit is practically the solar suit top,just black instead of white.i like the solar suit bottom half better than the ones he has now,it is kinda a halfway solution from his jeans look to his tron look,and basic enough artist cant screw it up.

On the powerset,i think if geoff would have made his TK the dominant power,and him gaining half the power of full.kryptonians his soft reboot would have been better.his TTK was destined to getter more powerful,and he only has half the kryptonian dna,so comic logic should mean he only gets half the power.hopefully in time the nuDCU SB its done right.

Before Geoff had at him, Kon was a human clone altered to look exactly like superman and be as Kryptonian as possible, his TTK was based off Supermans aura, he was designed to develop more Kryptonian powers as he aged to adulthood, mirroring how Clarks power developed, you could argue that the reason he could fly at an earlier physical age was because he knew he could fly whilst Clark didn't.

Potentially he was more powerful because he had all of Supermans powers as well his TTK.

I personally like Conner's black shirt with jeans. but i think he could go with some armour type like the new 52 Superman has at the moment
