I also agree that if they are going to have Heph-made weapons, then those weapons should feel special and impressive. Which we haven't seen. They feel like any ol' generic bargain bin weapon because they've done nothing impressive with them.

Deal or no deal, trading for weapons is not self-sufficient - it's reliant on someone else.
And what's wrong with the Amazons depending of Hephaestus anyway? Is it because he's male? At some point, everyone has to rely on someone else at some point in their life? I don't think being stubborn women makes them seem anymore empowered; it just makes them belligerent to the better prospects for their continued survival at best.

lol - Where did I say it had anything to do with Heph being a man? ;)

I don't think dependance is always a bad thing. I'm very pro-trade, mutually beneficial and all that. We don't get very far in this life all by ourselves. So, I don't think getting weapons from Heph is totally wrong - though I'm very uncomfortable with the Amazons trading people (I strongly suspect there is much more to their side of the story, or at least, I hope so) - that's my main gripe here.

eta: Since this is a thread on Simone's WW - I kind of miss her version of the Manzons, particularly the elephant, but also because I don't think we got to see them do enough. They were just getting started, and "Warkiller" was an interesting concept. I even liked the men helping the women (and vice versa).

eta #2: Don't tell Brett, but I even grew to like Tom. A little. Sort of. Though he had better chemistry with the gorillas. ;)

Hey guys remember. Don't make assumptions about what other posters are implying. Stick to debating what they actually post.

    Thanks and enjoy,
