No, but nice of you to jump to that conclusion.
Geez.
The composition isn't 'clever'. It's poor. Frankly, if it had been akin to the actual piece it's 'referring' to, it would have worked better - the idea there being of one (Superman) drawing the other (Batman) up to equality.
That's not what this composition conveys.
